Well were down by 2 points at 3/4 time. We have to do something quickly. Were in danger of being over run! We need to get our midfielders firing again and get embley up forward taking marks. Our whole team need to stand up and fight for this!!
 
Collingwood look home now. 14 points clear with about 15 minutes to go.

If your mob could develop a quality marking CHF, you'd be the best team in this league by a considerable margin.

Imagine having a Warren Tredrea on the end of the kicks from the likes of Judd, Cousins, Kerr, Fletcher (will be AA this year, surely) etc.

A very scary thought for us opposition supporters.

Congrats on the win, showed a lot of character to come from 2 goals down in the last quarter.

you rode a heavy bump of Rocca and then took a mark with Tarrant and another pies player around. both those incidents could've been goals which would've buried us.

Andrew Embley - you are a LEGEND

4 goals, and his best performance in Eagles jumper, BAR NONE!!!! that goal off balance in the last term was unfu(kenbeliavable.

But boys, I must say this:

NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER FU(KING EVER EVER DO THAT TO US AGAIN

I thought I was going to have a heart attack.
 
Just a note, well done Collingwood - that was the best game of football I've seen in so long.

I said at 3QT a few guys had to look at themsleves, and obviousbly they did, because Quarters 2 and 3 we're very ordinary and only Collingwood not taking their chances kept us in it.

But in saying that, us not full taking our chances in the 1st term kept them in it.

Thanks for the compliments phatandphreaky, I think like you. We have a great prospect in Travis Gaspar, unfortunately he seems to have a lot of soft tissue injuries. I reckon that if he can get a good run of games going relatively injury free, he could become as important to us as Tredrea is to Port.

I suppose time will tell.

By the way, I'm impressed with Gary Abblett. He seems a totally different player to his old man, but he still reeks of class.

Big ups to the players and big ups to the coach

Worsfold rotated the midfield players so well all day, even the blokes running with Buckley, that it gave us fresh legs over the line

uhuh! I had a feeling he would do that! I was so sure we'd make a surge in that last quarter. Even in the third quarter i felt like there was a reason for the way the game was panning out. Whenever they showed the coaches box I just thought....Woosha! you sly old dog!! You are saving something, i know it!

i think we should erect a shrine in embley's honour for putting in such a fu(cking great display. that goal off balance was a fu(king gem that should go down in history as a defining moment in our teams fortunes this year...no history!!!!!!

I really don't know what to make of that. Im sure you feeling the same. Because...
We shouldn't of had to come back from 40 points down, and if I was a Worsefold Evil, I would be saying that we should't have let them back and let them get out to 15 points up half way into the 4th.

So it was a very interesting game.

I had a feeling we would lose in the last quarter. We had so much momentum and we had a phase we were kicked 2 or 3 points in a row, we should have put away the Worstcasescenario Eagles right there. But then they got a goal and we stopped. We were finished. Dead. You could feel that we had absorbed so much energey in getting back and gaining a lead, that we just had nothing left in the tank, especially after the effort we had to put in last week.

Anyway, well played guys and dolls.

All throughout the game whenever they showed him in the coaches box he was very resevred and calm
