He's another good choice, i was going to put in Sylvia but he has too much off-feild problems. I know Mclean has had his fair share but he seems like he's becoming a good leader.

YES! You've just sold me on Moloney. Having a tough nut would definitely break the mould of 'nice guy' captains we've had for a while. Davey also has some fire in him, its just in a smaller body!

Though it should be said Neitz did put the fear of god into opposition backmen in his day- just ask Luke McCabe and Rory Hilton

PM me? I always heard there are rumours (without actually knowing what they are) about Moloney but his footy is reasonable, and he plays how a captain should play. Seems to work hard on the track. Is in the leadership group, and is responsible for taking the first year players on a boxing camp. So if there is off field stuff they have swept in under the carpet pretty well.

It's the should not part of your post that has me concerned. I mean if we were going to trade him, or he's had a minor indiscretion in the past it would be will not, not should not.

We need Flash. Recognise that the guy has been truly hardworking and led by example all year. Plus, it would be a real step forward to appoint an Indigenous player to captain the MFC.

He's clearly been our most damaging player this year and has shown a huge leap in maturity and focus (suspension not withstanding). I'm sure Brucey will probably win the Bluey this year again but for me, Sylvia has been outstanding. Clearly the most improved player based on last seasons form compared to this seasons. I think he deserves to be elevated to the leadership group at the very least and given extra responsibility. Especially considering that there's no really outstanding prospects competing for the captaincy.
