Agreed. IMO he's the front runner to take the reigns. Couldn't have summed it up better then 'Passionate Bastard' Dez. I love the fact that he loves the MFC as much as I do.

After recent events, he's the next tough and passionate bastard to lead this club forward.

All hail Captain Moloney.

(After Junior finishes up of course)

Agreed :thumbsu:

Yeah, got to be Beamer or Greeny next in line for the captaincy IMO.

Depends if Junior hands it over now or at the end of next season. If he steps aside now then Beamer has to be in line for it but if it's after next season than Sylvia is the man, especially if his form continues to trend upwards like this year.

If Colin Sylvia has another good year both on and off field I think he'd make a good captain for your team. Moloney, as said above, would be a good choice as well.

I thought the same about Brock.

We had a poll about the next captain earlier in the year & I went with Moloney then. I like what he has done on the field this year but also what I have heard about the initiative to educate young players about the club & build in them a respect for the club they play for.

As regards Sylvia, I don’t see him as a captain, I think he is best served to have more focus on his own conduct & game & lead out on the field by example.

I'll take either, but Moloney slides in front just for being a Melbourne fan.

As for the Grimes talk I'm never engaging in three years down the line captaincy speculation again after the fiasco of us talking up Brock as the captain since about 2005 only for him to never go any closer than filling in when Neitz retired and both Bruce and McDonald hurt themselves.
