for me caraazzo nearly cost us the game in the last qaurter ,his decision making and lack of pace was pathetic, he is only good when hes got no opponents within ten metres of him and he can feed off an easy handball and rack these pathetic stats which mean nothing to me, him and other turn over kings like scotland and houlihan are weak links in our team the sooner we piss off these hacks the better.. i thought hampson and phiffer were great last night......thats all ive got to say:)

Well, I can't comment on the game as we don't get squat over here, but, I would think he would add some value to the side considering he won the John Nicholls medal last year.....

I sorta agree. Carrots played a lazy game yesterday, and runs around like he's a millionaire while turning over the footy, he's gotta sharpen up or he'll get founds out (mind its only a practice match!)...

but SMURPHY played the worst game of his career so far...hopefully its just pre-season cobwebs!

turn it up,

I was obvious to me that the intensity in this game wasn't there (ie fevola, stevens, murphy etc), as ratts has said all along we are looking to round one. Carrazo is our best and fairest winner last year and has been the number one player on the track this pre season according to ratten, i thought he played very well. Got caught a couple of times in the last quarter but that was because of a lack of back up around him i thought, he has never had a huge amount of pace so i think he needs players around him to excel.

Murphy wasn't great today, Fevola wasn't great today, Stevens wasn't great today. You want to call all of them pathetic as well? With the likes of Stevens, Judd and Pfeiffer in the midfield, Carrazzo isn't going to find the space he had last year.
He won the b & f last year and it was well deserved so give him a break mate. We won the game and it should be only positives we are talking about rather then eating ourselves like the bitchmond boards.

Give the guy a break. It's preseason, the intensitys not going to be quite the same as a regular season match.
How can you call Carrazzo (our B&F winner last year, doesn't say much for the rest of the team) Scotland and Houla all hacks???

you really lose all credibility here.

had you watched the game you would have clearly seen that Scotland is easily one of the better users of the ball in our side. and whilst Phiffer impressed me, his execution of the ball left a lot of room for improvement last night.

I agree. If u pay closer attention there was hardly any movement in our forward line. Scotland + Houlahan HAD to kick to contests as opposed to leads most of the time.

And all i've got to say is go play in traffic...

Just stupid comments, especially after a preseason match. Would also help if they were TRUE comment, not just off a couple of possessions in the last quarter.

Mate pull your head in serioiusly, the bloke made a few bad decisions in the last quater, he was abit slow aswell, ever think he was just spent, he was busting his ass for 3 quaters in over 30 degree heat, go do what he did, with how hard he had to run to contests, to chase, to fight for the pill, and tell me how much you have left in the tank.

A lot of the boys played a shakey game yesterday, Mr. Murphy included. I think it's just the annual return to football jitters that most players get. Let's hope that the last quarter was a one off and himself and a few others turn it around next week.

Scotland has to be as under-rated as any player going round.
You said it, his ability to get to the ball is excellent and his disposal when he's on top of his game is A+.

He's about to be interviewed on SEN.

Crap start newb ...lets hope you improve

Would agree with the author of the thread about the last quarter. Thought he really let himself down. Having said this thought he was really sharp early. So the suggestion of his last quarter is valid but doesn't imo warrant getting too concerned at this stage.

Carrazzo didn't have his greatest game yesterday, however, having a crack at Houlihan and Scotland is unwarranted. Both of these boys were very good yesterday, and their kicking skills were sublime. I suggest you have another look at the game champ.

I think the Adelaide heat affected some of the Carlton player's performances on Saturday night. Whilst I think we have had a pretty hot summer, the S.A. heat is atrocious and Port youngsters would definitely of obtained some advantage having trained in it in the New year. The last 3-4 weeks in Melbourne have been tame by S.A. standards. Murph looked lethargic, Fev appeared slow and Cam Cloke jumped like he had a ball and chain around his ankle. As Carrots fatigued his disposal efficiency plummeted. Notice how Pfeiffer and Hammo seemed untroubled. Go blues.:)

Carrazzo's disposal is dreadful. Always has been, and it appears always will be. He'd be the last bloke in our midfield I'd want to have streaming downfield looking to kick to a lead.

Yes Carrots and Murph were poor last night - they burned the ball and were a major reason why we got smashed in the clearances. How much does it matter? Sweet FA - it's NAB Cup and we still managed to scrape out a win.

Whoever suggested Scotland and Houla were turnover kings ain't watching the same matches i'm watching.

Don't know about that. In a game with supposedly less pressure, and after 3 months training, I'd expect the guys skills to be a fair bit sharper than that. Carrazzo has always been sloppy though.

He had a Carlton high 7 clearanes for the game. Please if you are going to comment on a player, at least have an idea.
