lol at saying 6 ruckman on a list of 42 is way too much, tell me how many back pocket/flankers we have in our list?

Well since there is 1 ruck spot on the ground and 4-10 flanker types that can be played it makes sense to have more flankers on your list than ruckmen.

I don't see why you need every seventh bloke on your list to be a pure ruckman.

We have 4 which is perfect, we just need 4 good ones not 1 good one, 1 half ruckman, 1 rookie and 1 dud

whos going to play chb if polak fails or gets hurt. whos going to play fb if gaspar fails again or gets hurt. whos going to play chf richo heres a bit of news for ya hes a ff. who else schulz please spare me.
we have 15 genuine tall players on the list we should have 8 starters who are up to afl standard and at least another 4 in the 21 24 yo range capable of filling a hole in case of injury. jeezus have a look at our 8 most senior kpp rucks hence one would think starters .hall gaspar kingsley knobel polak richardson simmonds schulz.theres just 2 players there who you would miss if they werent there.
carlton have 24 genuine tall players on their list some of them are like p bowden more like a flanker than kpp.24 is to many i know but the weaker ones will be weeded out and more than likely traded for picks.tall players seem to hold value even when they are duds. nearly every club builds its big man stocks this way.and most teams in rebuild look after the big man department first.
once they have their core of 15 16 its then just a matter of maintenance and development.

our tall situation is at a point where we may well have to list 18 20 young talls and go thru the weeding out process.

benny you are right we dont have the talent but you are wrong when you say and think we have the right ratio. we have to find 2 fb asap 1 chb asap assuming polak makes the grade otherwise we need to get 2. 1 chf asap. ff is covered. we have to find ruckmen one to help simmo for the now.one to step up when injury hits and one for the future. we could even do with another on the rookie list as a project.
to say pattison polak hall and mcguane can play ruck is a furphy and for want of a better way of saying it false economics.you either have ruckmen or you dont. lets not band aid over things lets get some real kpp and ruck depth.

Oh sorry I thought you meant just ruckmen. We need fbs and chbs for sure, hopefully one of Cleve, Jon or Jack can be a decent chb alongside Polak, but fb is a harder one. We need a young Darren Gaspar.

Holy ****. 198cm for high jump... thats MASSIVE. He could easily be a high jumper. Good luck to him in footy though. Seems an exciting prospect.... obviously has a tonne of talent.

hehe yeah, actually that discrption sounds a bit like Kel Moore (if he were a bit taller..). He could solve a lot of our problems if he delivers but we desperately need someone.... 2011 isn't getting any further away!
