I haven't seen any information regarding the AGM that was held today so I thought I would share just a couple things that I heard whilst I was there.
This is just a couple things I found interesting. Some of you may already know this.
The first thing that was brought up was around how many night games we have for the year. For those who don't know, it was explained that each club has one preference that they can put in before the fixture is drawn. Our request was to play Collingwood at home at the MCG towards the start of the season. After that one request the fixture is whatever gets handed out to us and the other clubs by the AFL. So we really didn't have a choice.
The second issue that was brought up was regarding our away guernsey. They said they were aware that many people didn't like the white guernsey so they changed it and now they are aware that many people don't like the light blue guernsey but we will be wearing it for this year (only three times supposedly). Sticks is trying to fight against the AFL in regards to us playing some clubs that he does't believe we need to wear it against (not sure who) but he does't like his chances.
Aside from that, the new recruits got up for a chat - nothing interesting to report. As everyone knows Andrew Carrazzo, Andrew Walker and Heath Scotland got presented with their medals (they were the only Carlton players there). Heath Scotland and Andrew Walker said to the group of the three that I was in (as they sat next to us) that they were very happy with their pre-season so far. So all looks good on their end.
