Carlton Captains in 2006??

who will get the job. stevens or kouta i would think or maybe we should pick a younger captain.....

Captain should be Kouta. Vice-Captain should be Nick Stevens. Deputy Vice Captains should be Jarred Waite and Lance Whitnall. It's that Simple.

Let Kouta hold onto the captaincy for next year and make Waite, Thornton vice captains.

Then when Kouta retires in 2006, give it to Waite and let him lead the club for the next 10 years.

I'd like to see Waite get the captaincy. He's got heaps of years left, looks like a future star and a loyal player to the club. Wouldn't mind if Stevo becomes captain either though.

Include Waite into the leadership group - as one of the vice captains.

Kouta captain for his last season, Stevens vice captain.

Also Lance should be a vice too.

Captain - Kouta
Vice - Lance, Stevo, Waite.

French in leadership group, as well as Thornton.

Kouta - Captain for sure. I'd like to see Stevens & Waite appointed as Vice Captains.

Stevens appears to be one of our most vocal out on the ground, and I just love the way Waite goes about his footy. He is one of those lead by example type of players out on the ground.

I'd prefer to leave Whitnall & Thornton out of the "official" leadership group as I think they both really just need to focus on their footy next year, without having to burden them with leadership responsibilities.

Yeah I don't think Thornton needs the pressure of leadership in the near future at least. And sorry I meant Waite gets captaincy after 2006 not for thisyear.

When you assess the characteristics and qualities of the perfect captain. You cannot go past Bret Thornton. An inspiring young man who has down the hard yards to get where he is. Has played on the big names and is a very level headed. Thornton for Captain in the near future for me!!!!
