Stroke of genius, this is

It reinforces everything the Club has been selling to our young players and recruits

Put your hand back in your pocket - no silver bullets to change our predicament. The responsibility sits with you

Personally, I'd love to know who initiated this move ... Judd, Bolton, Liddle, SOS ... who dammit! :)

Also, as has been alluded to by others, Juddy is doing a great job as an unofficial club spokesperson.

His contributions are done under his media guise (with an acknowledged club bias) but in reality he is in cahoots with the club.

It's all perfectly choreographed and he's the perfect antidote to the Whateley/Robbo/Hutchy shit-stirrers.

I enjoy watching him hit Wilson, Lloyd and Hutchison all over the park. It’s like watching Haydos hitting 380 against the Zimbos.

Club happy with kids we've drafted.

Club is aware that injuries have compounded the mid-rebuild, inexperienced list profile.

Confident we're on the right track, and asking for a priority pick feels like an admission that we're not confident in our plan.

Was pushed by Watson about whether that was the right move. Should club do everything in its power to improve list? Understood position but said club doesn't share it. Repeated: we're confident in our plan.

Bolton and Liddle on employee agreements, not fixed term contracts. No expiry date, protections in place for club and employee. All parties comfortable with this setup.

Pushed again by Watson - when could termination be enacted? Didn't have a bar of it, said it's a confidential matter like other workplaces. All parties comfortable with current arrangement.

Asked about Friday nights - should Carlton have so many given our current form? Big supporter base, exciting young players, our consistency will improve and we feel that we'll be a club that will deliver exciting Friday night footy. Not out decision, but we'll take the games that the AFL offered.

Asked about free agents/big fish. Said SOS planned to hit three drafts hard, has done that. Now we need to balance bringing in kids as well as players 24-26yo.

Asked if big contracts to Cripps, Curnow etc. would restrict us in that space. Said our young list profile meant we'd have room for experienced players and we'd start to target some of those.

Asked why we haven't signed Cripps and Curnow to long extensions yet. Confident that talks are progressing and should see something in that space in the near future. Tried not to get drawn into speculation on contract length, but agreed that their current form would make something in the vicinity of 5 years appropriate.

Sounds like Twatson did his best to draw a juicy headline or two out of him, but Lids wasn't having it. Well played!

Agree...and I love listening to Juddy in the media.

I'm just glad that the level headed posters on this site accept other club's 'media' performers doing the same for their clubs with such grace..

Anyone else irked by Twatson telling everyone that Carlton fans won't be happy about the club refusing to ask for a PP?

**** off Timmy! Don't try and tell us what to think. We're not the same as your * fans who crave the "whatever it takes" approach. (We all know where that led them...)

Easy statement for him to make.

Some will be happy with the club's stance, others won't. As long as they get one Carlton fan calling up saying we should take the pick, he can hang his hat on that "public opinion".

Gee whiz.

It doesn't matter what happens Friday night. There is no way the game could be more boring than the last 2 Friday night games.

Collingwood and their chip, chip, uncontested mark after uncontested mark, forced me to change the channel.

And the geelong/gws game, well less said the better.

Hopefully we get an actual game of football.

Anyone seen the Wookie lately? He hasn't been thrown in jail for copyright infringement, has he?
Haven't seen him post any vids for a while. Hope he's alright.

All about time. And I havent got enough of it lately.

He's been running video production for the new Solo movie :)

All good mate. Just had one of those lightbulb moments where you realise that posters are actually real people in the outside world and when you haven't seen someone post for a while, you hope that all is good in the non-digital realm.

Reminds me of that time I was busy at work and I didn't post for four days.

There was a groundswell of concern.....that I could be back at any moment :)
