Stroke of genius, this is
It reinforces everything the Club has been selling to our young players and recruits
Put your hand back in your pocket - no silver bullets to change our predicament. The responsibility sits with you
Personally, I'd love to know who initiated this move ... Judd, Bolton, Liddle, SOS ... who dammit! :)

We did, didn't we? :)

I have it on good authority that there's a monkey sitting side-stage who translates for Lloyd via an earpiece.

It was the best of doping regimes, it was the blurst of doping regimes?!?!

God damn you, monkeys!

Blues Should Follow Dees Recipe

Some of the best work I've seen from Barrett.........

The James Frawley precedent of Melbourne not getting a PP, but getting *ahem* generous discretionary free agency is relevant. As is the Motlop compo, which was cleeeearly fudged by the AFL to facilitate an outcome they wanted.

However, Barrett suggests we could end up with picks 1 & 2. Simply not going to happen. Murph will be 31, looking at 2-3 year contract elsewhere. Frawley was 26 and had a 4-year (?) contract.

At best the AFL will bump our compo from band 4 (~pick 39) to band 3 (~pick 21). Which is still a handy upgrade if Marc and/or the club decide to part ways.

Valid points, Ferris

As noted elsewhere, the fact we got SFA for Waite may also help our plight

Definitely food for thought. It’s like an even up free kick .

Agreed. It's actually a pretty good article with some thought put in it (amazing, I know!). But even the most optimistic supporters wouldn't think a top 5 pick for Murphy as FA compensation would be on the cards!

I’m starting to believe that the HS is targeting our club. Garbage article once again..

Relax mate, it's just a Jon Ralph article.

You now, the cheap journalist that only ever takes pot shots at our club and its woes for personal gain (not that he'd get much from it)? No creativity or hard-thinking for this guy. He is not worth the time anyway.

This is the same guy when the fixture was released, would first go on to notice Carlton's draw and whinge about the Friday night scheduling with roughly five successive tweets.
He was also one of the few calling for the Curnows' heads.

Also ask yourself why this article was published on the lead up to a Carlton match. Coincidence? I think not!
