That makes no sense at all..

It has nothing to do with being timid, nor being vanilla, nor ....... It has everything to do with wanting Judd to be the best representative for Carlton.
Being an idiot isn't being vanilla either, but it's not really serving the best interests of the club.

You are an advocate for all manner of opinions, swimming upstream, being controversial when it comes to Carlton supporters. I'm just wondering why that doesn't extend to Judd as well.

He's in a volunteer position at the club and the guy has to earn a living, and there are others who seem to manage to separate their roles or if not, certainly galvanise their supporter base behind them. I guess I'm not sure how Judd's media opinions affect the club at all.

I'm not even sure how you've come about to conflate what I've posted and Judds presence on a football show. It still makes no sense at all to me.
If you wish for me to re-represent my view to which you're somehow alluding to, I'm happy to do so.......but Judd has no place in it.

Jaysus. Judd has two fairly measured digs at a media puppet who has just gone full character assassination on him, and he's going off on a wild tangent?

Juddy is still finding his voice in terms of a media profile, but personally it's great to see a strong Carlton presence in the media, rather than funnymen and fops like Maher, Andy Lee, Hughesy and yep, even Pang.

Not how I saw it.

People detest James Brayshaw and Eddie, and it isn't just other clubs that do so.

It's a two edged sword. You can use your profile to sway public sentiment in directions it couldn't go, but by the same token you have effectively placed a huge target on your arse, and if you stuff up...

He can do what he wants, I've just got severe misgivings about him being on Footy Classified.

Certainly was. Doesn't change the fact that neither have really presented views on why the other is wrong, or done much more than smear as much feces as they could on the other guy.

Being hypocritical or a flip flopper or a whore to moneyed interests (Ralph) or potentially lacking the credentials to criticise another club (Judd) doesn't make either of them wrong; Juddy could be wrong and his credentials impeccable, Ralphy could be correct and be the the biggest flip flopper in Australian media. The point is, we're talking about nothing here, a faux confrontation gestated by media interests with their back pocket in mind, instead of the game.

It sets my teeth on edge. Like I said, Judd can do what he wants, but that show - that style/kind of journalism - doesn't sit well with me, and never has.
