Koutas best is still above what Cripps has done so far. You’re right on consistency though. Cripps is far better in that regard and not far off koutas best. It’s just some things kouta did and some games he played are just incredible. I think champion data did some grading of old games and one of koutas is the highest rated game they’ve ever looked at and it’s noy even close.

Kouta kicked a lot of goals too.

First sentence, accusing a club great of arrogance for paying a young player a compliment.

Second sentence, potting said players career.

Seemed like it was a bit personal.

Harker and Kouta use to be best friends. One day Harker stumbled across an alcohol drink. Harker was at home drinking cough syrup and accidentally set it alight. He blew out the flame and had a sip. Harker was so blown away by what he created he told his best mate Kouta that he had created the flaming Harker.

Now this is where the friendship took a turn for the worst... Companies found out about this concoction and came calling. Kouta claimed the drink as his own and called it the flaming Kouta.

Kouta gave away the secret that the drink was plain cough syrup and the chance for Harker to make big from his invention was ruined.

Just a small glimpse into the fued that has now lasted over a decade.

I hope one day they reconcile, but i fear the friendship is lost forever...

You know we are going in the right direction when you cant decide who your favorite player is.
Little fish is a jet.

Good point!

I am thinking Kennedy will impress as he did in JLT when he gets fit enough to play week in week out. has mongrel.

6th worse loss in club history?

Carlton’s biggest defeats
138 points v Hawthorn - 2015
124 v North Melbourne - 2003
117 v Brisbane Lions - 2007
116 v West Coast - 2003
111 v North Melbourne - 1983
109 v Melbourne - 2018
109 v Essendon - 1985

“We’ve walked under a ladder in terms of injuries this year but we are not going to let a young group use that as an out. Then, you’ve got an easy get away. We’ve got to lose and grow. And if it’s ‘oh we’ll be right when we get others back,’ it gives youngsters an out.

There’s a reality there but we’re not going to accept that because it’s not high performance thinking.

Seen all of them, reckon we have had worse. Last game of the 93 season, for example

That maybe quarter not full game I don’t remember

From memory champion data said that quarter in the '99 prelim was worth about 130 ranking points (roughly half of Jono Brown's monster game back in '06... 25 disp, 10cp, 8 goals, 16 marks, 100% de)

Liam Jones (vs Tom McDonald) made the the Bounce "Don't Come Monday" segment three times. In fact he was the only player featured.

Embarrassing.
I don't think he plays well on players with clever positioning and awareness. The guys he's struggled with are guys who know how to find space. He likes one-way forwards (i.e. they are predictable in there leads) but guys who drift into space give him a lot of trouble as he likes to read the ball, not the player. Guys who know how to find space require more focussed attention, not really Jones' go. Teams who have smart forwards can take advantage of him, any player who relies on athleticism he will cover easily. Any nous though and Jones is in trouble.

He plays like a guy who has been playing as a defender for 12 months... who would have thunk it.

Pretty much. That's why I'm not so harsh and quick to condemn him like most. The fact he plays as well as he does is remarkable.

It still surprises me to this day he's an immediate 22 for us. Crazy.

Contradictory Post Of The Year.
Identification of weaknesses and outright slander are two different things. Identifying his weakness is important to understanding him as a player and what he can work on. At least from my perspective I like to acknowledge these things then see if he (or anyone who has weaknesses) improves on them. Not the same as hating on him indiscriminately after a poor performance.

I can still be impressed by a player despite acknowledging they've got weaknesses they need to work on.

Tim Watson slams Jed Lamb's false "bravodo tactics " **** you Tim Watson who cares what you think! Other clubs dish that shit out on a weekly basis and he choses to point out Lamby ..

**** you Tim Watson ..
Tim would of loved to have gone with this last week but his team got smashed and it would of looked like sour grapes, waits a week to make it look slightly less like sour grapes.

But Sicily is a legend, in fact the whole Hawks "unsociable" football was being lauded as the next best thing. I'm not fussed on Lamb and his tactics, but to pick one guy in the whole AFL and sound him out is totally gutless. It has been going on for years and it is up to the AFL and the umpires to cut it out of the game. Monkey see, monkey do, I have seen juniors try these sort of tactics in U/12. It is no different to a tagger who watches the player instead of the ball.

Gary Lyin with your missus, and Tim Watson are 2 of the biggest idiots in the game. Has Lyin ever heard of Tom Bugg? What about Watson's ex team mate Denham? Nope, all good blokes as far as their concerned.

Would have had it penned at half time last week, but had to hold it over.
