The context/agenda is that Geelong are in the media for all the wrong reasons, so let’s divert attention away from the media’s beloved Cats onto a different club. Carlton are the easiest target.

Given current day “journalism” loves to turbo charge the sensation in a story i feel we need to apply at least some consideration before jumping on the wagon.

I agree but managing optics in an industry where the media is always watching is core. You don't just need to act with integrity, you need to be seen acting with it too.

So what, just wait longer to make them redundant? Spread the redundancies over months? Don't make them redundant at all? Talk about acting with integrity but we should comprise our operations because what needs to be done might look bad? And look bad to who, the general footy public, opposition fans who are happy to stick the boot in regardless of a story's veracity?

None of us are fully across the facts just like most things reported in in footy and frankly in general. But reporting the facts isn't sexy and doesn't generate clicks.

We obviously can't know all the circumstances, but I wouldn't be relying on one unpaid female board member to ensure we're getting all this stuff right.
