can someone design me a should temple? packed full of should worshippers? cheers........
There's one at Docklands.
It should have been designed so that you could play footy during the day with the roof open, and Carlton did exactly as they should have against Freo on Saturday. There were 35000 worshippers there.

We should have been in the finals in 2020.
We should have been top 4 last year. Maybe not winning the flag, but certainly in a position to challenge.

And rainbows appear every time it rains?

Do you think we would be further advanced right now if those outcomes happened in 2020, 2021?

Interesting discussion about how you curb Sam Walsh from a half forward flank on afl360 with joey and kingy.

Great coaching from Voss to get maximum impact from him so far but I expect that opposition teams will put more work into nullifying from here on in.

Discussion ended with Joey saying "the last 7 or 8 weejs Walsh has gone past Cripps as Carlton's best player", Robbo concurred and in the background you could hear kingy say "Charlie Curnow ".
'Interesting' if you want some good advice handed out to oppo coaching for free.
Bloody Joey.
Let's hope they ignore it. I love seeing Walshy play unfettered.

I've thought about this lately as well, but I think you notice on field who the coaches are more worried about. Cripps' is still the one opposition teams are putting their taggers on and clearly finding matchups for, not Walsh.

Walsh is playing better at the moment but he's not having the time put into him that Crippa has. Swap the roles and have teams focus on limiting Walsh and allowing Cripps to run free and he'd be back in the no.1 player in the comp discussions, which is where he was for the first 6 weeks until teams decided it's time to sit on him (and our ruckman went down).

Not a driveby knock on Walsh at all btw, all about not moving on from Cripps so easily.

If they're talking about it then the coaches around the league probably worked it out 2 weeks ago.

I doubt they're tuning into a 5 minute segment from Joey Montagna for coaching tips.

That’s why it’s so important to have multiple mids in ripping nick. Fisher got off the leash because there were so many playing well and I would argue he potentially does more damage than most outside of Walsh because he’s quick and dynamic with pretty good skills.

Teams can turn their attention to Walsh if they wish but he’s like Robert Harvey, just doesn’t stop moving so he’s virtually untaggable but then others will get off the leash.

The dogs have made GFs with a lot of average key position players because their midfield, half forwards and half backs kill it. We have some crazy good Key position players on top of the midfield across half forward to back

Definitely and teams putting the time into Cripps - and to a lesser extent Walsh, I'm sure he's not free running but there's certainly not the same focus - has allowed Cerra, Hewett and Kennedy to go about their business and like you say has allowed the odd extra to come in and have an impact now and then ala Fisher

Cripps first 6 or 8 or whatever many games it was with pitto in the team were at record setting pace. He was the best player in the comp by a fair way. Walsh is playing well atm but he's not close to the impact Cripps had in that stretch.

I love Harry but he's come down with a real case of the flops recently. You're 200cm, don't play for the frees, just bloody clunk the footy.
It's frustrating because you watch the end of the Richmond game where he went beast mode and decided several times that that footy was his and I'm marking it regardless of who's in my way.

Compare that to the other times where he plays and falls over at the slightest contact and it frustrates you a bit.

Admittedly he was better vs Freo, didn't do it from my recollection so perhaps that 4th qtr effort made him realise he doesn't need to do it as he's unstoppable when he wants to be and doesn't need to bother trying to get free.

I know...rationally...:p
Ratts is very smart with footy too.

Speaking of Ratts. How brilliant is it that a player can win his clubs B&F in a 23-2 season and not poll a single Brownlow vote in the same year? 😂

100% this.

Longmuir in his presser was asked if Walsh should have been tagged. He said Crippa was their main target.

What a weapon this is for us. Coaches don't know who to tag because the alternate will get off the leash... Every coach in the league wants to have this luxury.

Then we have Hewett, Kennedy and Cerra (and now possibly Fish) in the engine room. We are looking like an A+ grade midfield.

Our midfield has become the barometer of our games.

One thing I am sure of is that Jack has never been a whipping boy at Carlton.

Ross is barely coherent at times, so glad we didn't get him.
He's been an easy target by non-blues fans, but he's never been one for Carlton fans.

Most opposition fans will still fall over themselves to tell you that he only gets a game because of his surname.
