Anyone who thinks the media or particular journalists are ‘out to get us’ is either a conspiracy theorist, lacking comprehension skills or not right in the head.
Do you watch fox footy at all?

I inferred some of her comments as implying that someone had leaked info to her. I wonder who that might have been.

Will be interesting if RTB coaches us, I have a feeling Riewoldt, Montagna and Dal Santo will change their tune.

Whately, Healey and King however… they will never ever give us a shred of credit.
Disagree...King is generous when we do well and Healey can be too.

Let's not go down the path of comments about intelligence or mental health to make a point. These are opinions and you can disagree without the labels.

The first audio on this page is about whether we should make the finals with a new coach next year. Half way through is Ross commenting on the opportunity and saying he has been watching the team and this time it would be a collaborative approach as to game plan, not like Freo where it was just 'this is how you are going to play'.

He really sounds excited about the opportunity. Maybe it's that whole supporter growing up thing and he didn't think he'd get an opportunity like this.

Interesting part of that show today was Carey believing the midfield depth was on the list just hasn't been developed and utilised properly

Everyone’s favourite having another crack...bout time he got over it

Perhaps you should dissect what he has to say.. I am not a fan of his, but what he says is 100% spot on.

"I was staggered, and I still am, at the Carlton board’s preoccupation with past players and past premierships," Malthouse wrote.

"It drags its VFL success around like a ball and chain.
"And it allows past players and high-profile businessmen, who can avoid ramifications by not taking up an elected position, to have too much influence at the club.

He added that Sayers hadn't convinced him yet that things were truly about to change at Carlton. Sayers has been on the board since October 2012, he was there for the entirety of Malthouse's reign.

So maybe Malthouse's grudge against the Carlton board hasn't fully healed. But he says that it sounds a lot like the issues that plague the once mighty Carlton aren't going anywhere.

Yeah I know he makes valid points but he bloody destroyed our club.

I think it’s different this time. Luke sayers has come out and is demanding improvements. I like the hands on approach. He is owning this task of getting us back into finals.

This is a good point, Sayers is putting himself on the line, he is in the limelight and talking the talk, if things don't improve on field, he has no where to hide. MLG, we never heard from, yes, he and the board did good things off field, but the footy side of the club was run poorly with no cohesion.

How did he destroy our club? The Board appointed him, agreed to pay him $3million dollars despite Eddies warnings that he was cooked. The Board at the time had this idea that the list was good enough to win a flag. MM ducked and dodged that question and knew that the list was ordinary, but he still managed to win a final. This is the Carlton mantra..Blame others for the Board's continual failures.

There is no coach that can take a mediocre team to a flag. Clarkson has demonstrated this in his past few years at Hawthorn.
He tried to use experienced players to top up just like Geelong has, but it failed.

I like many others thought the club had turned the corner with the appointment of Bolton. That was a wasted exercise and they could not wait until they sacked someone to prove that they were in control.

I have a few questions: do you own a raffle wheel, and is it covered in reasons which you can use to attack Carlton, and how often do you spin it/update it in order to ensure you're not going stale?

I don't see any good points there, especially that last sentence. It's a hollow meaningless statement. It's a platitude that doesn't provide insight or analysis. He's just saying nothing there.

Sayers has yet to convince anyone, good on ya Mick. That's why Sayers is on the front foot trying to be proactive.

He's the most self interested individual...came to Carlton for one reason only...break the coaching record... then quickly despatched 3-4 players that put the club back a few years...was shown the door and has never gotten over it...some of the bottom feeding media just love him for his tripe digs...wish they would ask him about the $4 tee shirt he bought in the US.

What if Mick is right about our board? Would you prefer to pot him and let them get away with their antics and destroy another coach and waste another rebuild.
Or perhaps listen to what he says and demand change. FWIW I don't think Vince and co are the answer

So much manlove for this young bloke.
Expect him to explode next year -- finish off the rest of that puppy fat and get real serious.. we all forget how much he missed -- Bolton had started to play him he got hurt didn't get back -- then missed 2020 ..
