Blues on break: Wedding bells, first family Christmas and graduations
Take a look at what some AFL Blues got up to over their break.
This was the break down. Not impossible, but getting a Round 1 win would be REALLY nice. Not sure I can see us beating Port and I'd think we'd be favourites to beat Freo - been a bit of our bunny recently.

Don't think I'd penciling in a win against the Hawks atm, from all reports the players love Sam Mitchell and are putting in the hard work.
Edit: PS, Probably 'training the house down'

I think we should be beat Hawks & GC , although GC early at home are no walkover. I think Dogs and Port will be difficult (unlikely to win) and we may pickup a win from Richmond and Freo. So i am looking at 3-3 start to the season.

3 wins is about where I sit too acey.
Honestly if we win against Richmond that will be progress.
That could be a spark to get on an early roll - 3:1 after four rounds entirely possible.

There is absolutely no reason why we can’t beat dogs and port and any other team for that matter, apart from the Demons. They are the only team I fear at this stage.

In the 70’s and 80’s and even up until the mid 90’s, there were plenty of games we won because of the “fear & perhaps apprehension“ that our opponents felt before playing us - unfortunately now most sides look at our fixture with the view of an easy 4 points.
Depends who is on the park for the D’s. Only takes a couple of key players and they can look ordinary. Showed that for a period last year.
