Footy great Alex Jesaulenko has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

The former Carlton high-flyer is in good spirits with his daughter Kate saying she’s been in contact with Parkinson’s Victoria and is determined to do all she can to raise funds for the disease which has no cure.

All the best to the great man.

And classy move by the family to try and raise money.

Can anyone share the latest article today in the HS.

Too much to quote directly, but...
  • Signing Cook and Voss brings optimism
  • Underperformed in 2021
  • Enough talent that should make the 8
  • TDK pick to break out
  • Fisher the X-Factor; talented enough to nail HFF
  • Tipping us to be 4-2 after six rounds
Nothing ground breaking, but just reinforcing that after years of disappointment 2022 could/should be the year we pull our finger out.

This was the break down. Not impossible, but getting a Round 1 win would be REALLY nice. Not sure I can see us beating Port and I'd think we'd be favourites to beat Freo - been a bit of our bunny recently.

Rd 1: Richmond @ MCG (W)

Rd 2: Western Bulldogs @ Marvel Stadium (L)

Rd 3 :Hawthorn @ MCG (W)

Rd 4: Gold Coast @ Metricon Stadium (W)

Rd 5: Port Adelaide @ MCG (W)

Rd 6: Fremantle @ Optus Stadium (L)

Prediction: 4 wins 2 losses

Don't think I'd penciling in a win against the Hawks atm, from all reports the players love Sam Mitchell and are putting in the hard work.

Edit: PS, Probably 'training the house down'

I think we should be beat Hawks & GC , although GC early at home are no walkover. I think Dogs and Port will be difficult (unlikely to win) and we may pickup a win from Richmond and Freo. So i am looking at 3-3 start to the season.

3 wins is about where I sit too acey.

There is absolutely no reason why we can’t beat dogs and port and any other team for that matter, apart from the Demons. They are the only team I fear at this stage.

Jesus I fear every team . Just gotta win 4 points and climb the ****ing ladder .

Respect all opponents but never fear them ;)

In the 70’s and 80’s and even up until the mid 90’s, there were plenty of games we won because of the “fear & perhaps apprehension“ that our opponents felt before playing us - unfortunately now most sides look at our fixture with the view of an easy 4 points.

yet regardless of how well we'd be going I still feared clubs like footscray......

Have met him, he's a real gem.

He'll help out around the club regardless. He's just that kind of guy.

But best for him to focus on his health as much as he can for now. So much more important than anything else.
