Yes and it comes out in him now and then. He obviously still has a soft spot for us.

He might just be my favourite TV personality at the moment. Not that I really keep track of that sort of thing but when he's on something I generally always find him to be very good and engaging.

He is intelligent generally, knows a lot about the game but also has the personality, credibility, confidence and charisma to go along with the professionalism to be great in whatever TV thing he's doing. He can do silly humour stuff, which he does, then he can also go straight and analyse the game and the wider footy world on AFL 360 better than a journalist. Not that that is particularly hard fwiw, but still.

Agree on Dunstall, one of the absolute best in the business.

He's got the incredible knack of being able to do it all. He's the class clown on The Bounce and yet he's very articulate and provides great points on the other shows. Very few can do that.

I refuse to watch The Bounce on principal because of Andrew Gaze. He is awful lol

And he backs it all up with being one of the greatest players as well as being involved in several club reviews, including one that helped lead to the Hawks 10's dynasty.

Credibility as a footy player, footy admin, media personality as well as analyst - Plus he likes Carlton a bit so... He's the total package.

Come on Elmer lighten up. You get serious about the lost ridiculous things. Gazey is almost a national treasure.

Clearly bounce swims down the shallow end of the pool but if that's what you are looking for it's generally good fun. Dicko can be annoying on the golden fist but it's hard to get too worked up about it.

Nah I can't do The Bounce either. I can't even enjoy it for what it is. It's obviously a "We're so bad but we know it and that's what makes it funny" kind of thing, but... it just misses way more than it hits. A lot of the "bad for the sake of it" is just bad and not funny.

There's plenty of media that occasionally uses low production value as part of its charm, I think the Front Bar at times goes down this path as did The Footy Show back in the day, but it works/ed there. With the bounce it just... is bad.
