Despite the claims the redundancies were unrelated to the separate internal investigation, it's a terrible look. What does PK think?

Looks like strategy is to get this out in the open before the news cycle goes into a turbo preliminary final/Brownlow build up frenzy

Yep club claiming they were restructuring after a thorough review and it was part of that. Regardless, it doesn't look good

Shocks me given the fact our current president is also a “whistleblower” (albeit for immunity) I thought he would have a bit more sympathy towards their plight…

If you take it on surface value alone it doesn't look great but then again it's easy to make a sensationalist headline like that to make it look bad without giving us full context.

We know zero of the detail internally so it's pretty pointless to point fingers or speculate.

There is a world where it possible for multiple things at once to be true.. i.e. coming forward with claims but also being surplus to requirements in a restructure. Companies restructure all the time especially when new management comes in. Very few things in life are completely black and white or cut and dry.

Were those 3 women the only 3 people that helped with the investigation? And were they the only 3 made redundant in the restructure? Key pieces of context completely missing from the article

Very misleading headline -
‘Carlton makes redundant three women who reported misconduct against former senior staffer’

According to the article, they were made redundant in the recent Club wide restructure and unrelated to the misconduct investigation earlier this year but that doesn’t suit the Herald Scum’s agenda.
