No, there are definitely aged care workers across the country who were stood down, who have never been mandated to take a vaccine prior to this. This as an absolute matter of fact.

Maybe they weren’t in the public system. I’m not sure.

Youre 100% sure they hadnt been previusly mandated to have flu vaccines and lied about it? Or even gotten the flu vax to keep their jobs but are lying about it now to not be hypocritical?

The process for getting proof of your flu vaxx was also pretty lax. Theres a bunch of ways people could lie to protect their self interests here.

No my position is that i have no idea if it was ever implemented for aged care, if thats the only industry youre talking about then ive no idea why you replied to me. Very well hasnt been mandated for aged care and these people are correct. I was never arguing about aged care.

I dont think so, ive been around the state govt system for about 8 years now in varying capacities. Flu was always targeted (my departments only ever "strongly encouraged" but not mandated)

I would suggest that the "policing" of it in the company may be a little lax then or, as you mentioned, maybe there's a different between state run and private. Doesn't bode well for their employer if they are found to be not following the rules.
