HF: Walker Waite Robinson
F: Garlett Casboult Betts
R: Kreuzer Murphy Carrazzo
IC: Bell Collins Scotland E: Curnow

Out:
Davies - Need to take your opportunities when presented, AFL is not a charity & community competition Gone.

Jamison

In:
Walker, Robinson, Watson

Out: Jamo, Davies, Touhy, Caz
In: Watson, Walker, Robinson, Mitchell

Think Caz has done well, but also think Mitch should get a taste soon. I believe he can also pinch hit in ruck. If not this round then it would need to wait until GC. I know the NB watchers believe he is not ready, 5 goals against the top side suggests he deserves a look.

You would think Watson to replace Jamo.

Walker and Robbo would have to straight come in if they are fit, and only Davies, Touhy or White would be on the list to come off but with Jamo hurt and Watson being inexperienced you would want to keep White in, he did enough to get another crack.

Cant see any other changes from either the perspective of poor senior or outstanding NB performances, with the exception of Ellard, for either Bell or Curnows spot (McLean is safe now) but just think you cant keep changing the side, 4 is already too many changes one week to the next. (If Bell is still fit then there is no way you would drop him).

my 7cents (adjusted for inflation).

Would like to see Mitchell get a crack. He may not be completely ready but as long as his shoulders are fine, let's play him. He'll have some confidence from the weekend and Waite will probably get Merrett.

mitchell may be a game away imo cose if he does come in he will do abit of ruck so give levi another game to show something,
out davies (why start a finge player as sub)...Tuohy (gone backwards, lost all offence) jamo, curnow
ins
o'keffe (can't hack him on deal or no deal so give the gun a game)_
ellard,robbo,mcarty

Not sure Mitchell will come in, we still need Casboult as the second ruck.

IN: O'Keeffe, Robinson, Watson, Ellard, may want to bring Walker in.
OUT: Tuohy, Davies, Jamison, Curnow

Joseph, White, McInnes
Yarran, Watson, Gibbs
Armfield, Murphy, Simpson
Collins, Waite, Robinson
Betts, Casboult, Garlett
Kreuzer, McLean, Carrazzo

Bell, Armfield, Ellard, Scotland

As usual we have no first choice defender for Brown. Hendo would be handy thats for sure

Good thing I suppose is Brown isn't exactly quick, but probably too experienced and strong for Watson.

Look forward to Watson coming back in, all good top level exposure for him in preparation for 2013.

Casboult stays, worked his way into the game to take some good marks against the top team, I think he'll do well against Brisbane.

Davies will probably go out, Tuohy and Collins might be in danger if Walker and Mitch are available. Really wanna see Robinson and Bell in the same team.

If we are still trying for the finals and must win this by a margin does T bird get a game as we would have to pick every known goal kicker

And I have heard he can play both ends

Mitchell please.. as atleast gives us something to look fwd to.

Play all the kids and lets get some games into them, if we can fast track a few bodes well for next year.

Not sure if Mitchell will come in, but if he does there is no reason we cant play Mitchell, Casboult and Waite in the foward line.

Wait would obviously play a high CHF role working right up the ground. Mitchell out of the goal square. And Casboult as the back up ruck/ 2nd or 3rd Tall target. No reason for us not to try this set up. The big targets work for West Coast when they have Kennedy, Lynch and Darling.

Garlett and Betts would be loving roving to these big guys. And if Walker is fit he just adds a whole other headache for opposition coaches to worry about.

That is a very accurate way to put it.:thumbsu:

We don't set up like that. We have a lead up KPF (Waite or Thornton), a resting ruckman/forward (Hampson or Casboult), Betts, Garlett, Armfield and Walker/Collins.

Mitchell, Waite and Casboult aren't as mobile as Kennedy, Lynch and Darling. Darling is a great defensive player with the pace to lock the ball and force turnovers. The opposition would run it out once the ball hits the deck. Casboult, Mitchell and Waite have missed a lot of footy too.

Play the kids.
We're 2 games and percentage out of the top 8. Whilst we are mathematically able to make it, with 4 games to play and two of them against Essendon and St.Kilda, we simply won't get there. Looks likely we'll finish with an 11-11 record for 2012.

Not sure what his form has been like, but Bootsma should play the last 4 games. The more games he gets under his belt this year, the better. Watson is ther logical replacement for Jamo and will be a great learning curve for him to play on Jono Brown.

The rest is just shuffling the deck chairs and if there are players that have already been identified that won't be at the club post 2012 then they shouldn't play. Last 4 games should all be about building for a big 2013.

Very worried that we may play Jono Brown back into form this week and I think it is asking too much of Watson to come in play on Brown. Happy for Watson to come in and play on Sauce Merrett if required.

Two options for Brown:
1 - Bring in Thornton to play on him
2 - Bring in Luke Mitchell to play forward and send Waite back to Browny.

Went into the memory bank to find if this has worked before but keeps saying memories repressed :|

Not sure whether Luke will come in next week.
From Coach's box email:
Michael Jamison unfortunately appears to be a casualty, so Matthew Watson will, I daresay, come into calculations for next Saturday night's match with Brisbane, while Andrew Walker and Mitch Robinson are over their injury setbacks and available for selection. Luke Mitchell booted five goals for the Northern Blues at the weekend also, but he hasn't played much footy in the past two years and to call on him now might be too great an ask.

Would love to see ROK get a game.

Mm, I dunno if we should torture Waitey like that. Just back from injury and I think he probably still has nightmares of playing on Brown...

If Browny is going to kick a bag I would much rather it be on Thornton or Waite and not a 2nd year player like Matt Watson.

Zac Dawson still has nightmares the night he was left to play on Anthony Rocca.

I hear you.

I'd probably rather it be T-Bird if it was out of those two. Waite I feel is just too valuable up forward plus I don't know how his body would handle playing such tough defensive jobs now, not to mention I don't know if he ever truly regained his turning circle (which isn't such a problem playing forward)

Ratten talked up O'keeffe last week.
Hopefully Walker and Robinson are good to go.

IN: Robinson, Walker, O'Keeffe, Watson
OUT: Davies, Curnow, Jammo, Tuohy

yeah about right but I would replace Cas with Warnock too.

Tuohy has to go. Has been worse than Duigan was before he got axed.I think he may have got ahead of himself a bit.

One of Yarran or Gibbs needs to play on the wing.
We have these two elite kicks playing in the back pocket/flank and what are they being used for? Yarran runs twenty metres from the back fifty and drills it to a lead on the fifty to a guy too far out to kick it and with no one inside fifty. Gibbs acts as a pivot in a switch?? Is that where our elite kicks should be. We surely don't need both of them on the half back flank line.

Gibbs to play on the wing this weekend, keep Yarran on half back, pair him up with Scotland on the other flank. Unleash Bryce

B McInnes White Tuohy
HB Yarran Watson Scotland
C Gibbs Bell Simpson
HF Collins Waite Garlett
F Walker Caz Betts
R Kreuzer Murphy Carrazzo

I/C Armfield Robinson McLean Sub: O'Keefe

In: Watson O'Keefe Walker Robinson
Out: Jamison (Hamstring) Davies (omit) Curnow (omit) Joseph (omit)

Any combination fo Armfield Lucas O'Keefe Joseph could be played, need to select two of these, two miss out.
Casboult could be given a rest and Warnock played resting full forward.
