MS The size of Collingwood players didnt have much effect on last years wooden spooners in Melbourne with only 1 point seperating the Dees & Pies over 2 games this year. The same Melbourne team running around with a swag of 18-22 year olds.

I know you are trying to keep it positive and yeah body size does play a part in tough contested games....but come on surely you can see something is amiss with this carlton team!

2 points to make here. First Melbourne didnt win, unlike us when we played saints and cats. They lacked the composure to finish the job. And Melb are a year or 2 behind us in development but they have as many more first rounders as we do, so they are on the same development path we are and will arrive just after us, and watch if you dont see a couple of years of up and down performances like we have had, losing games they should win then winning against the odds. Its all part of the formula, there is no mystery here, no magic, no short cuts.

In fact there was a time that conventional wisdom had it you could not win a flag until you had lost a grand final.

Suck it up. Its part of the journey they all take.

You have to understand,in the last 7 weeks Carlton have only beaten 2 of this years potential wooden spooners. In reality we are the 3rd worst team in the competition, possibly the second worse. Our decision making is insanely bad.
