All the players bolded are good.Win lose or draw on friday, it's just nice to know we'll go further than Essendon with the groups we have.
Seriously though, If we do win, how embarrasing will it be knowing we have these guys out:
Warnock - Future tap rucking star with the skills to take it around the park.
Walker - If it wasn't for injuries he'd probably be as good as Judd.
Waite - All Australian easily, if he played for Essendon he'd be their best player.
Maybe out:
Thornton - Not going to play key position any more, allowed to own the air.
Austin - future all-australian defender.
Robinson - future star of the game.
Yarran - You'll see, when he makes it you'll learn to hate him quick Bombers fans!
All the players bolded are good.
The rest are a joke and I would love to see them all out there friday night, we would seriously win by 20 goals if they were.
As somebody pointed out, Hooker faired better than Bower, in a team that lost by more than 9 points mind you.Obviously don't watch Bower much hey?
Last week in the 1st quarter the Saints midfield was absolutely rampant. Bower would have conceeded just as many goals as Matthew Scarlett under those conditions. The last 3 quarters however, Bower blanketed Reiwoldt on nearly every contest.
Hooker and Pears. Lol.

You haven;t beaten anyone by more than 7 goals.........
You forgot Fletcher. Remember, it was always those 4 which were the ones that 'carried' us
Leadership is a major problem at Carlton. After Judd there is nobody. Stevens isn't a captain's arseh*le. Fevola still acts like he is 19. Carrazzo shouldn't be in ANY clubs best 22 but understandbale that Carlton can accomodate him
Who else? Walker? Another spud.
We have McVeigh, Welsh, Watson, not to mention our highly touted draftees which ooze leadership like Hurley, Myers and Zaharakis. Things are very bright at Windy Hill![]()

No. You would not. When the big 3 retire (McVeigh and Hille will be useless by then but still going) those so called "star" kids will have to play on the best. Essendons future involves constant holes opening while being filled with lesser plugs as they will come along. Plenty of changes for no real results.
Man I love making Essendon supporters look like idiots, listening to the stupid replies that keep coming from all my hard truths, love it!
Hard truths hey?
I generally try to be a nice person, but it brings me so much joy to know that despite all your crooked methods, our list still holds more potential.
- Essendon is in the top 8, without significant contributions from McVeigh or Hille, and injury/poor form greatly affecting Lucas and Fletcher, who are 4 of the 5 players apparantely "carrying our club."
- We have fielded the youngest team this season, 3rd youngest in recorded history.
- Our "poor depth" has beaten you last 4 times, even though we've had more numerous and more significant injuries than you guys and always been under-dogs.
- Despite years of tanking and making crooked deals, your list is still weak overall and continually disappoints.
- The young list which has actually been carrying us is without contribution from our first round draft picks for the first three years. Even without the crown jewels we are keeping up with the rest of the comp.
- Finally, Tayte Pears owns any defender in your side, and even then he is probably behind both Fletcher and Hurley.
Edit: I accidentally missed your earlier quote when you said we'd "peaked too early." Hard to see how the youngest team in the comp has "peaked"... Nice one.
We MUST win.

I think what sucks most about this game is that both sides MUST win, and yet, someone has to lose. Friday will potentially decide the finals chances of both teams. As much as I hate Carlton, I love hating them. I'm happy to see us both in finals, just so long as we win![]()

We are going to belt this mob. I wish zaharakis was playing cos he is the most over-rated player in the AFL at the moment, and i would dearly love to see him get put into the ground.

after all this it's probably going to be a bloody draw!
I have no need.Didn't respond to my comments on the previous page? Either you felt embarrassed and tried to ignore it, or you just missed it. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

That's a nice argument if you consider Taylor Walker a big scalp...Overall he's out-performed all young defenders you have on your list.
Walker is nearly as talented as your hacks Zaharakis, Jetta, Myers, Reimers and Brent Stanton who was picked after Bradley.Who else? Walker? Another spud.

McVeigh oozed leadership when he clocked Rivers. We have McVeigh, Welsh, Watson, not to mention our highly touted draftees which ooze leadership like Hurley, Myers and Zaharakis. Things are very bright at Windy Hill![]()

Not on the same scale as Pav, Roughead etc obviously. However considering he was coming off a 5-goal (in a half, mind you) game and had given a few teams quite the headache, I'd say that's a nice scalp to have. That's a nice argument if you consider Taylor Walker a big scalp...
Whichever way you put it, Pears beat him. Watch the game again if you have doubts.Roughead kicked 2 goals three on Pears in a belting which flattered the Bomber.
So that's 1 apiece for Hooker and Bower.Franklin kicked five on Hooker who was held to two goals by Bower this year.
Jamison is emerging, no doubt. However he hasn't the scalps Pears has.Jamison beat Koschizke with arm.
Get your facts right, please. Pears had his worst game this year against the Dees, and still wasn't 'smashed'. He gifted Miller with two goals; before that, he outplayed Robertson, and performed OK after that.Pears was thrown around by Miller on Friday night and smashed by Tippett.
Difficult to say. Will be a great lesson for Pears, however there's nobody I'd rather see play on your star Full Forward. How many will Fevola kick on him?
So what ever forward/forwards the opposition are kicking it to are doing well while the ones they aren't targeting are quiet...Not on the same scale as Pav, Roughead etc obviously. As for Tippet, I suggest you watch the game before commenting. Tippet's direct opponent was Hooker up until the fourth quarter. From memory he kicked one goal on Pears, during the period in which Adelaide were running over the top of us.
Difficult to say. Will be a great lesson for Pears, however there's nobody I'd rather see play on your star Full Forward.
a) I can't take you seriously unless you write a thesisLast time we had a change of coach, before Knights we won 10 in a row against Carlton from 1981 through to 1985.
The next time we had a change of coach (27 years later), that man has won his first three games against Carlton.
There will be at least another 7 wins in a row before you guys can celebrate.
