Why does it seem when a good player decides to leave his club for another he nearly always nominates Carlton? Surely Essendon has enough money left in the salary cap as Carlton has said they have, to attract a top line player. But no one seems to nominate Essendon, any reasons?

How many?

Judd, .....?

Stevens didn't nominate carlton but merely got stuck with them and was picked up in the PSD.

Warnock, is merely a potential player atm.

Ackland, Cloke, Hadley, Pfieffer...all duds

Thats why.

Although the Visy thing is a bit of a joke it's not too far from the truth

There are plenty of ex Carlton players working for Visy

Alex Jesaulenko was at my place of employment last year discussing a recycling account

A future after footy for guys who aren't too smart must be attractive

Richard Hadley is a dud?

That's the equivalent of calling Ramanauskas a dud when circumstances beyond our control has prevented us getting the best of out Hadley this year

He had 18 touches and kicked a goal against Essendon.

Hadley is a better footballer than Welsh and a better midfielder and kick than Stanton, but he just can't get on the park enough to show it.

Hadley didn't have a full pre-season, but was brilliant against Collingwood with his ball winning(4 first disposals), skill, leadership, tackling and blocking for Judd.

I wouldn't swap Hadley for McVeigh if all things were equal and he hadn't had two knees injuries and a groin complaint.

Thankfully Carlton has taken a conservative approach with his injury and not rushed him back into the side so he can get fit for next year.

Hadley did nothing at Brisbane and will be de-listed from Carlton once his contract runs out. Bookmark it!

Life isn't about hypotheticals. He can't get on the park and when he does he doesn't show a lot.
