Melksham looks fine. Jumped for a mark which he didn't bring down but he looked unhindered.

I must say Berry has looked good. He's had a nice spoil and his marking and disposal has been solid. After some Cat B basketball convers that haven't worked out like Bradtke and Farris-White, Berry already is looking more promising to me than either of those guys.

Xavier Taylor having a bit of a struggle today. He's not looking that confident when he has the ball and he's getting outmatched physically. Hopefully a good learning experience for him.

Onley created the second contest by flying for a high mark, and Melksham the first. Even though it was Casey listed Craven who kicked the goals they were effectively created by the two Melbourne guys.

Laurie has been in everything today but his kicking is just not quite there unfortunately. He steps around players and creates space with his agility easily at this level.

Jesus, Will Darcy is so underweight. He looks like Skeletor out there.

XT's confidence looks like it might be growing. Took a good mark on the wing and he's getting more involved up the ground.

Cross a little ginger on the sidelines after landing awkwardly after a huge fly at a mark near the goal square.

Some how the score is all tied. Casey have taken their chances so far and Footscray have butchered plenty.

This is a very high quality game for a VFL game. The ball is moving quick, lots of fast hands in congestion.

While Taylor has had some not so good moments, he's at least getting involved in lots of passages. He's also had some good moments with a clever tap forward instead of taking possession earlier that should've led to a score.

Melksham is back on the ground with a heavily strapped right knee.

Jed Adams again with multiple repeat efforts. He almost took a saving mark and then followed up several times and eventually won a holding the ball free.

Best half of VFL footy I've ever seen from Jed Adams. For a guy who looked hopeless in the intra-club game a month or so ago he looks like a completely different player today.

Moose may get the "don't kick it, hand it off" directive. His kicking has been quite poor but the rest of his game good.

Melk tries to do some fancy footwork deep in the pocket and his strapped up right knee is definitely giving him some trouble. He was still able to shake his opponent with the moves at least but was clearly uncomfortable afterwards.
