Jeffo for Petty a given them by the sounds of it.
Petty and Jeffo are very different styles of players, but it would be the obvious team change move. There's certainly no other tall forward putting their hand up today. I'd see Kentfield as a more similar player in style to Petty and better suited to play Petty's role.

Jefferson got another free there about 55 out, but advantage paid so no chance to score some more.

What I think happens is Jefferson is (clearly) playing on poorer defenders in the VFL than what he encounters in the AFL.

Jeffo gets it done through superior reading of the ball in the air for the most part as well as strong leading (as I type this he marks on the lead and then slots his fifth from almost 50 out on the 45 degree angle).

In the AFL the defenders put in far more body work with blocks for leads, body spoils, little nudges etc. He doesn't have the body strength to fight through that yet.

I've liked Taylor a lot more today. He just held his ground really well against a bigger opponent (Edwards I think who is the same height but 26 years old and much more developed than XT) and then again tackled Edwards to the ground to force a throw up.

He's still looked to take things on but seems to have calmed things down and been a bit more level headed.

Jeffo might be off I think? If so, seems a pretty clear indication of selection.
Mercy rule request by Essendon. It was unfair to let Jeffo keep on dominating as he was.

On Onley, he is what he was sold as when drafted. An athletic specimen with a lot of work to go on the actual footballing stuff. He's looking more and more comfortable as the season progresses as he got settled into the backline.

Not sure what others have thought, but his ball use has been horrible from what I've seen.
I was thinking his kicking was OK today and he's even hit a couple of teammates with his left foot, but I haven't paid as much attention in the second half.

But he does look shaky even when executing what should be simple kicks for an AFL listed player. Kind of floats the ball slowly towards his target.

Commentators glazing Latrelle now. He's been underwhelming IMO. Got a goal just then with his cousin's patented go-low-get-decapitated move. Kicked a nice one to a Jeffo lead early on. But aside from that he's tried to do too much, turned it over etc.
