What the:confused::confused::confused:

This is a VFL club, surely they could manage to get enough players even if they are rubbish, hell give me a call and I will pull on a jumper and make myself look like a tool!

Ditto, i couldn't possibly be worse then some of the reserves players :p

Was at the game yesterdays game. Casey did not win, we just lost, after a sloppy start (not kicking a goal in the first) we got on the scoreboard and kicked on, we wasted our chances, especially through a number of senior players (Skipworth, Hartigan, Johns) we could have had a handy lead going into half time, in the second half however our frusteration was showing with a number of spot fires breaking out and Hislop getting reported for abusive language, in the fouth we just lost the plot, the game was played in one half and we did not look like kicking a goal. of the non Bombers boys, Skipworth again proved his worth with another dazling display, Hartigan was very handy as a small/medium sized forward and was very dangerous, and stewart crameri did some nice things of half back, even helping himself to a couple of majors. overall was a disappointing effort from the Boys.

Michael - Solid, was excellent at times but sometimes found looking for touches, but a solid performer. 7.5/10

Chartres - Was very good, played in a variety of roles, looks a likely type, plays in the same mould as Mcphee, even found himself in the ruck at times. 8/10

Peverill - DNP

Atkinson - DNP

Williams - Looks a very likely type of half forward type of player, has good leg speed and a very handy jump on him (almost took mark of the year), disposal was good, but seemed to lack some defensvie pressure on occasions. 6.5/10

Hooker - Could tell he had been out of it for a while, seemed lost at times and couldnt get much of it, was out mscled against some of the bigger bodied Scorpions 4/10

Dick - Showed glimpses of some signs but was overall a let down, was dragged a couple of times for stupid little things (defensive pressure) 7/10

Johns - Why did we even keep this joke, he could not get a kick in a street fight, took a very nice mark up forward, then proceeded to kick it out on the full. Was even looking for them down back and still screwed it up. 3/10

Bellchambers - 'Belly' was probably our best player today, when he was up and about he was showing signs, will be a very very good player of the future, out bodied the similar sized mcevoy and was even better around the ground. 8.5/10

Hislop - Had plenty of the pill after lining up in the middle, did howver turn it over a fair bit, and was undisciplined a few times, and when he got dragged was showing a fair amount of ditain about it, was good throughout though. 7/10

Hocking - DNP

Magin - Rarely sighted today and his hopes of being retained on the rookie list are getting smaller and smaller, did set up a couple of goals but was very disappointed by Magins efforts. 5/10

yeah, Magin was very quiet dustbin, defensive side of his game was, well, ok, nothing to crow about, did keep pressuring in the forward 50 on one ocassion and cause a spillage which resulted in a behind, but used the ball nicely when he gained possesion,

He'll be retained on the rookie list next year for sure. Merv's love child.

he didnt really make an impression, and by all reports has done bugger all year, so he is pushing his time, very closely. thats all.

You can't be talking about Magin can you ?
He was very good in the NAB Cup and has had a couple of good games in the VFL games i have seen.He has been a bit up and down , you can not argue with that but he will be on the rookie list next year. He is a much better option than Dick, Chartres or Williams for that matter.

sorry mate, but some of that is laughable. Magin has been very promising this year in every game i've seen, and his spot on the rookie list will only be under threat if they consider elevating him. he WAS quieter against the scorpions, but still showed enough with his hands inside congestion.

hooker hasn't been out of it for a while. he's played and been good for the last month. he struggled on sunday, but a large proportion of that was delivery. the ball fell short into the wind, and carried over him with it.

i apologise for making some assumptions, but I have \only seen a couple of Bombers games. Magin has lokoed ok. dont know about a long term future. yeah. Magin does looking promising though. what are you thoughts on Willuiams. thought he was really good against Casey.

i wouldn't have said williams was REALLY good against casey, HFF. He was ok, as he has been over the last month or so. he looks good running forward, does some good things with the ball, but gets caught out on defensive work. has a very good frame to build on imo, and considering his brother has taken a few years to learn the game at the Bulldogs, i suspect John will be the same. Worth persevering with imo, but probably a couple of years away from consistent AFL level performances.

was williams first game back (apparently) was good i thought. he does need to work on the defensive aspect of his game though. but I thought their was enough to suggest he can make a spot on our list his own.
