Dunno if anyone mentioned this, but cass was picked up in the draft as part of our training squad?

Does this mean we are looking at drafting him closer to the start of the season? I would be happy if we rookied him again and gave him another go :)

How does this new set up work; can you just pick someone up who was registered at any stage before a nominated date if you have room on your list?

Minimum 2, maximum 3 players can be in the training squad and they effectively are training for the last rookie selection. Selection of player must be made by NAB Grand Final week.

Don't mind this if the club has done a medical. Was very good in the WAFL last year, don't know how he tracked this year. His problem was always injury, anyway.

Hope he gets the spot. Liked him when he was on the list a couple of years ago but hamstring injuries forced him out. Wasn't he training with us 12 months ago too?

Great bloke. Takes a lot of hard work and dedication to come back after two years out.

Was pissed when he was delisted because I knew it was a player with good skills out of the team.

Best of luck to him.

Training list competition should keep the training reports thread interesting throughout the offseason at the very least

Perhaps a mini buddy draft for people who make it down to training regularly so we can see who is travelling the best?

We'd hoped he and Meyer were going to be our highly skilled HBF's until 2018 or so, as juniors they both looked to have all the talent to go on and do that.

We've had a lot of bad luck with our draftees and players in general over the last decade, hopefully for Travis we get one back this time. :thumbsu:

casserley has only missed 2 games in the last 2 yrs. 1 being a prac match and the other for a rest. realy hope we do choose him . would be capable of playing straight away. and i reckon if it is him, he'll me promote straight away too

Didn't like his attitude in some of his final Coburg games when he was last there. Seemed lazy and uninterested but it could have been frustration with the coach and injuries.

when trav was at the tigers wallet sat him down and told him that they wanted him to agree to be put onto the rookie list when he asked why he was told that if he didnt pettifer would have to be delisted and as he was close to him he informed wallet that they can pay out the rest of his contract and keep pettifer he wasnt delisted as such he still had a yr to go and thats what happened:mad:
