quick notes:

*not sure if the alternative group will take up the olive branch offer.
*more of a personal issue against him and not the club.
*if an EGM was called next week the timetable of the election would go through till after the draft.
*he,s happy to be accoutable to the the members
*on Phaoff CC said he is either lieing or be misquted in reagrds to the claims that casey would walk by the end of this week.
*was asked is it a major problem that exc,s of sponsers are on the board that would cause a conflict.reply:they dont get on the board because of the sponsership but more what they can bring to the club on an ongoing basis.
*the crazy john issue.conflict of interest considering our sponsership with motorola.
*

basically nothing thats hasnt been mention in the press already.

cheers!

Thanks for that TOO. Caught the last half of that.

It definately seems that both Wallace and Eade have told the club that they dont believe there is the stability as to who will be running the place that they require.

Brendan Schwab resigned from the board because he felt Casey was not accountable to the board.

Michael Pahoff pursued a petition to force an EGM because he felt Casey was not accountable to the members.

Casey has now done the right thing and offered himself up for election by the members, making himself directly accountable to the members at the next AGM.

Both dissident groups should now go away as they have less reason to destabilise the club than they did before.

Most importantly, where are guys like Charles Macek? On the radio a couple of months back claiming problems at Tigerland and when push comes to shove, nowhere to be found.

These kind of dilletantes are nowhere to be found when they are needed most.

100% agreed. Get lost until the coach signs.
If the papers ring Scwan and Pahoff i hope they say 'we're not interested in making a comment until after the pre-season draft...please call back then.'

Rodney Eade said something on SEN this afternoon about having to have a period of 35 days after an EGM where there cannot be any discussions with a potential coach or new players. Is that right?

A load of crap. Crazy John sells phones (inc motorola) he is not a phone manufacturer. Where the hell is the conflict of interest.

I suggest Casey either go play golf on one of his golf course developments or gets himself a bed in one of his retirement homes. Do anything just get the hell out of Punt Road.

Are you serious? Has this been said or are you guessing? Please don't say the former. If we do not get an established coach, I may be tempted to go out and buy myself a Swans jumper and start learning the words to their song. Only kidding on that last point but I hope all this instability doesn't scare of any potential coaches and we end up with choice 15...

Its come from too many media sources to not be true, 1980.

Clinton Casey admitted it on radio the other day aswell.

If come August I am watching a press conference with Britain sitting there in the Richmond tracksuit as Danny Mark 2 then Pahoff will have a lot to answer for.

not sure.possibly it could be right.however the way i understand it is the EGM if called next week wont be held to after the national draft.
if we havnt appointed a coach by then[wallace or eade] then clearly they were spooked by the uncertainty in regards to the board spill.
for what its worth imo eade will be our next coach.

cheers!

If that happens, I will stop supporting Richmond. Indefinitley!

Nothing has ever made me feel that way, but if we end up with Brittain I'm guessing I wont be the only one.

Yeah. I cant see myself getting too excited if someone like Britain is appointed. My enthusiasm has been tested too much and I'm at that point now.

I use him as more an example of who we might get rather than believing the club could ever think they could sit there and convince us that he is the future of the club.

Thats why I cant believe this guy Pahoff. The most critical decision perhaps in Richmonds history. Come August we will either have hope or throw our hands in the air and this guy is pushing us towards the latter.

If we appoint Brittain i will buy a swans jumper. Can`t help but raise a small eyebrow at Parkins former relationship with Brittain and his current role at Richmond , dodgy

Brittain doesn't seem to get much of a mention in the media, maybe he's keeping it all under the radar. Or more likely he knows he's as gone as gone can be. They won't keep any of the assistants there.
