Re: Celebrity / Famous NFL Fans

Yeah, Letterman is a Colts fan. He's an Indy native and has said he barracks for Colts many times.

His second favorite team is the New York Jets...again, something he's mentioned.

But where did the idea come that he's a Cowboys fan?

Coincidently I just happened to catch the Letterman show last night (its like the first time Ive ever watched it) and yep, hes definetly a Colts fan.

They also had a John Madden impersonater, was pretty good but overdid it a bit towards the end. Anyone else see it?

Re: Celebrity / Famous NFL Fans

The Gastineau girl is probably a Giants fan, as her dad played for them and she is good friends with Jeremy Shockey.

Mark Gastineau played for the Jets!!!! A great pass-rusher, & paired with Joe Klecko was part of the infamous 'NYSE - New York Sack Exchange' after they picked up around 40 sacks between them one season in the early 80's.

But Gastinaeu became one of the Jets greatest villains, along side Doug Brien (I don't want to hear anymore Woody!!!!;) ) during a play-off match against the Bears when he roughed the passer on an incomplete play...moving the chains for the bears to score a touchdown, then tie the game, then eventually win it.

Why do I support this freaken franchise????

Brittny's bloody hot though.

Re: Celebrity / Famous NFL Fans

Also, Drew Carey is a mad Browns fan.

"All the little chicks with their crimson lips go 'Cleveland rocks!', 'Cleveland rocks!'.....lol great song

Interestingly in the first line of the song they say '3-4'. This is probably a long shot, but could that be in reference to the Browns' defensive scheme? :p

I got that song on my mp3 headphone player...a Ian Hunter / Mott The Hoople classic :thumbsu: The 3-4 is the Steelers defensive scheme so I can claim that. ;)

Good question! I have no idea, but I do know who Stacey Keibler is, and she used to be a Ravens cheerleader.....MAYBE a Ravens fan therefore.

Re: Celebrity / Famous NFL Fans

I remember when Philadelphia played the Pats a few years ago in the Superbowl, they had Michael Chiklis (The Shield) introduce the Patriots out onto the field and Will Smith did the same for the Eagles. I thought it was pretty cool....

Article in the paper today on Geelong fullback Matthew Scarlett, here's a summary:

Is an NFL nut - gets up at 5am every monday morning to watch it

Owns 21 jumpers of his favourite players

Highlight of his life was meeting Randy Moss

Doesn't say what team he follows (if any), but surely he must be a Bills fan ;)

It doesn't say because perhaps he keeps changing his favorite team every few years. But that's good that he loves the sport. Perhaps we have another NFL future punter there? Also, if he really wanted to meet Randy Moss so much, perhaps he's a Vikings fan? As Randy Moss did nothing in two years at Raiders to warrant a new bandwagoner to think he was special. Scarlett would have had to start loving the game when Moss was killing the NFL in his Vikings days.

Perhaps he just follows the players around, and loves a lot of teams therefore. Hence his 21 jerseys of particular players....???

I believe he's a Steelers fan. Got tix to XLIII Supabah thru close friend and ex- team mate Benny Graham. Good to see the Cards re-instate him back on the roster/ team.

Re: Celebrity / Famous NFL Fans

How about NFL players favorite teams growing up, prior to NFL drafting.
Just some I know...

Raiders fans:
Barry Sanders
Jared Allen
Jack Del Rio
Jahvid Best
Bruce Davis II

Niners fans:
Tom Brady

Broncos fans:
Darren McFadden

Could be an interesting assignment for someone to go and find a more extensive list, if one exists?
