Reason's obvious isn't it? Carlton is playin Collingwood afterwards. What better way to get fired up than watch the Blues resign the Pies to another runners up finish!

He gets a bagging on here no end but IMO Teddy Hopkins could turn out to be a real wild-card for us up forward. Hard to match up on and capable of the odd goal. Just a thought.

You could be right, but he is a bit of a fringe player, might not play much more after this year...i just hope we don't do the normal Carlton thing and get off to a slow start, we really struggle to come back after teams gets a jump on us.....

Good point. The last thing we need is to be way behind at half-time. That would be disastrous and I doubt we could come back. Fortunately we have stars in abundance who are real team lifters and expect Jezza to inspire with a good mark or goal.

If we get that far behind we will be totally stuffed. Barass would have to throw the coaching manual out and implement a real left-field game plan re: swap a backman for a forward, handball excessively out of the backline (I know, won't happen) or some such desperate measure. Have a bad feeling about this game, here's hoping the boys fire up.

I have to question the selection of Ted Hopkins on the bench for this game. I mean there is no point in having him there if we hardly ever use him. I'm telling you, if Hopkins doesn't do anything here, he should be delisted.

Quite frankly, I think Russell and Houlihan are the only ones capable of having the 1970 premiership stripped off us retrospectively. Search your heart, you know it to be true.
