Ch 7 Commentary - is it intervention time?

One of the biggest things that shits me is how none of the commentators ever know the rules.

The AFL has been interpreting deliberate OOB as “insufficient intent” for SEVEN YEARS and they still whinge about it if it’s not “deliberate”.

Hodge needs to be banned from Collingwood games. He continuously sooks about umpiring, and spends the rest of the game trying to coach the opposition. Topping it off was the free to Cameron in the ruck for an arm around his neck, which was met with “what else is he supposed to do”…………erm, maybe not coathanger the guy?

Finally, the icing on the cake was the highlighting of rule 18.13 (b) on the screen after the game, which is to award a free for handing the ball to another player. I.e IN PLAY. The panel then proceeded to applaud the umpire on knowing the rules and making a technically correct call. Meanwhile 18.13 (a) - literally one above - states players should be penalised for throwing the ball…did they stop to think that would mean throwing it back to the umpire would be illegal too??

Complete unprofessional garbage.

One of the commentators last night called the stadium surface in Perth as perfect as usual.

If the ball not bouncing back to Beau McCreery and Tom Emmett, and no one being able to change direction, all flipping game makes it perfect…

It was like a beaten up racetrack. It was rooted.

Matthew Richardson's obsession with intercept marks is embarrassing. Has nothing else to talk about.
