Hey guys,
I noticed that Chad Morrison was reasonably quiet this season. Was it because he was injured or just poor form?
Do you think he will retain his spot on the list?

Cheers

I've been wondering about Ready. I hope that he can get back to pre-knee form next season. The way I see it, he can fill two roles, the Josh Carr role, which, asides Chicky, we really have no one who can fill that position. And even better, he can play as a small defender, which in turn could free Wirra up to move down the ground.

either way, I'd just love to see him playing good footy again. he's never going to be top liner, but he looked promising.

If Reads early WAFL form was anything to go by, we should see a great improvement next year. I think that he found it a little hard to take the extra step required to play AFL, but with a good pre-season under his belt we should start seeing the best of Phil Read.

I fully agree on the sentiment about Ready, in particular the bit about him playing a Josh Carr type role. If he was asked to play full time in defence I would be slightly concerned about his foot speed as he may strugle agains extra quick defenders. Also we have too many defenders that strugle for pace at the moment, see Glass, Green and Collica.

Morrison would be a great back pocket if he could become accountable. He has pace skills and is great overhead. His accountability is his greatest problem. If he can is not willing to take on the back pocket role I would like to see him traded as he may have some value.

Cheers

Now if only Phil Read could learn how to kick instead of just bombing it away every time he gets the ball. He seems to have lost his ability to read whats going on around him.

Read

I thought when Read came back this year he started like a house on fire with some big possession games. But then he got injured, came back against the Swans (?) and didn't really do a lot for the rest of the season.

Any chance he could be carrying an injury or simply his form faded away like many of his team mates as the season wore on?

Pund for pound he is as tough as they come and I think he is definitely a big asset to the team when on song.
