That just supports my argument. He plays at best half a dozen decent games in a row then breaks down. Potentially elite but no where near enough runs on the board to be considered elite. If he played for another club you wouldn’t think he is elite at this stage.

If you went by Brownlow votes, blokes like Dylan Grimes are rubbish. Moore got a vote against Port this year, just for the record. Of course his old man got plenty, so he has a lot to live up to.

You need to watch more of our games without the Moore is overrated bias you have, the young man is a star, and has already shown what he can do up against the best forwards in the AFL. And you are also wrong about the Brownlow votes.

The young man is potentially a star. At the moment he is a player who has shown glimpses. Calling him a star when he hasn’t put even one full year of high quality football together is a joke. Has he even finished in the B&F top 10 yet?

You're right about the continuity aspect, but in 2019 he put together a year of quality minus the matches he missed due to injury. He beat most of his opponents and was in our best few players in the finals having gone in underdone. Fans of other clubs perhaps rate him higher than we do from what I hear. Remember it was his first full year as a defender and he would have been AA but for missing that extra game. 16 minimum is the requirement for AA and he was apparently in the team at the halfway point of the year. You are also right that he hasn't finished top 10 in Copeland, but best and fairests are set up so that they reward getting on the park. Jordy is in our best players too but he couldn't crack it in the top 10 due to injury this year, but Moore was more consistent than him anyway.
 
Moore played some wonderful footy this year. Doesn't really have enough runs on the board yet to be placed in the upper echelon, but we all know if he stays fit, he belongs in that upper echelon. He's a pretty special talent.

Spot on there. To belong to the upper echelon, the player must have runs on the board. Things like high finishes in the Copeland are part of that and those who win them, or finish up high regularly, are usually blokes who are talented, consistent and durable. Unfortunately that last word doesn't apply to some of our best players.

Take another look at his stats they don't lie ,take a look at the two finals he is one of the main reasons we even got past cats marked just about everything in the last quarter when they were coming at us ,then look at the prelim played on the best forward in the league and beat him also was one of the main reasons we even got back into the game. Yes he is a star also is elite and as far as B&F goes well its same as brownlow favours midfielders so meh.
So saying he is potentially a star is a joke that's like saying Jeremy Cameron is potentially a star because he hasn't kicked as many goals as Lockett.
Any who will have to agree to disagree i guess.

The old take an argument to a stupid extreme to try to win an argument. Jeremy Cameron IS a star despite not kicking as many goals as Lockett. So is Buddy.

Both these players have got runs on the board over multiple seasons. All Moore has is a good start to this year and a good finals campaign.

I am not saying Moore will not be a star, but can we wait until he has put a few solid full seasons behind him before claiming he is elite which is were this conversation started. Pendles, Buddy, and Dusty are elite. Moore is nowhere nears these guys at the moment.

I think he has the potential to be elite and hope like hell he gets there, but let’s not go off half-cocked.

Isn't an argument it is a difference of opinion.The length of a players career or the amount of games he has played per season has nothing to do with his ability
, this is my opinion,you have a different opinion and that's fine.
 
Champion Date quantifies all the stats they have on every player then lists them through unbiased eyes. They rate players on position. Moore is an elite defender compared to all other defenders. Grundy is an elite ruckman compared to all other ruckmen. Its just a measure, nothing to get worked up about.

But Pendles isn't elite in his positon? Majek Daw is an elite defender? Rance isn't? Paddy Ryder is an elite ruckman? Sydney stack is elite? Tippa is an elite forward?
