Interesting to see that Coulter-Nile is fit.
Hard to see Perth and Hobart winning but it should be a good experience for many of the younger players. Mitch Marsh will probably bat at 3 or even open.

Perth got paid $200,000 for Cummins and Hobart would have been paid more for Bailey

I wish that the 'conflicted' players would be able to pick their club team over their IPL team. (and ideally it should just be the winners from each T20 comp. too many runners up and IPL teams)

They can choose their other team if they want

but no-one ever does... I thought the IPL teams used to have a clause in the contracts, giving them priority (not sure if they still do)

IPL teams pay more and pay money to the other club.

Perth get paid $200,000 for Cummins playing for his IPL team. Arguably Perth are better off with the 200k plus a good experience for Mackin or Paris

Perth's best team?

1. Simmons
2. Marsh
3. Whiteman+
4. Voges*
5. Turner
6. Agar
7. Coulter-Nile
8. Arafat
9. Behrendorff
10. Beer
11. Hogg

Bancroft could also open I guess with the others moving down and Agar going out

As per usual, it's a fairly long tail. The likes of NCN and Agar at 6/7 could go either way.
May as well have a long tail and the extra bowling options, Bancroft opening in a T20 would be a waste of a position.

Hobart are lucky that Dunk isn't with Mumbai, they are struggling to put a top 6 together from that squad as it is. Malik might be better in Indian conditions I guess. They must have needed special consideration to pick Michael considering he wasn't in the squad last year.

Paine, Dunk, Michael/Blizzard, Birt, Malik, Wells, Gulbis, Boyce/Doherty, Hilfenhaus, Laughlin, Bollinger

They probably get to put in Michael because they lost Bailey

When did the Poms pull out of being involved in this? They used to, is it all just a matter of scheduling with it now being earlier so that it conflicts with the English Domestic season? Would have thought that may have been avoided with the whole 'Big Three' restructuring.

Scheduling problem.

The Champions League is jointly owned by the BCCI, CA and CSA however

Lucky them. Ah well both the Australian teams have good bowling attacks. I always think in T20 the team with the better bowling attack is favoured providing they at least have capable batting. The capable batting part might be a problem but getting an unheralded guy on a heater can have a big effect, you only have to look at Simmons for Perth, Dunk for Hobart and Pomersbach for Brisbane the year before. If Whiteman/Turner/Blizzard/Wells types can pull a few good knocks out of their backside it changes things.

Yep. Your top 4 should be making the majority of the runs anyway.

Still think we need to chase one more batting option for the BBL.

I think Shezhad would be pretty good.
