Would rather Hutchings over Redden
Reddens game v Sydney was of high satndard. I'd say that bought him some credits. Credits, I'll wager, that won't last long.

Partington got injured at the wrong time

Playing Mutimer as a pure HFF is a recipe for disaster and its been one we have been cooking for a while and it has never panned out that well. When will we ever learn.

Gov to FF, Kennedy to play small? He is probably our best crumber right now.

None of our mids crumb regularly either. This is some silly list management.

Probably why they drafted Rioli last year.

Parto by all reports seems to really lack impact and is bit undersized so even a fit parto would have probably been overlooked.

When the entire club is cleaned out, top to toe.

Anyone think that the 2015 GF has actually set the club back a tad. False hope?

Bringing Mutimer in ahead of the tried and tested Hutchings is a positive step we've been yearning for.

Yep gotta say it is a huge step in the right direction by the MC. Now if only they can back it up by giving Mutimer solid time in the guts...

Don't care. Anyone just to send a message. Even losing this game just to send a message would be acceptable

As Biggie's pointed out, there's bugger all youth available this week. Other than Mutimer who has been picked.

The Hawks game was a stinker but it was one loss, coming off the back of a good win over Sydney. Do you really want to throw away a Derby to "send a message"? Jeesus.

Probably. Given Priddis, Mitchell, Redden, Sheed, Duggan are given preference.

But he is injured....which gives the "lack of guts" argument very little traction.

Wonder how Caleb Daniel got a game? Oh, he plays for someone else not named West Coast.

Papertalk and Carter for starters.

Can't believe they haven't elevated Watson this week. Granted, he's currently hobbling around Cable Beach on one leg, but they should have picked him anyway. Just to send a message.

Well Kaiserchief does live in Melbourne, he doesn't get the concept of putting up with living in the same state as Dockers supporters if we lose.

Daniel has pace, knows how to accumulate, is versatile and has good skills. Parto on knows how to accumulate. Don't think he's the type you can sit on HFF or even wing tbh.

So another wasted pick?

Personally, I would have replaced Vardy with Giles and had one ruck as we won't win the ruck anyway and could do with more mobility. But other than that, our injuries have given some players a lifeline.

So for those lamenting we weren't hard enough at the selection table, this is the remaining non-injured players to choose from

Schofield - Just got dropped
McKenzie - Doesn't suit our defensive structure any more
Hutchings - Tried, tested and bog average at AFL level. Is just depth.
Jetta - Still yet to find his mojo
Lamb - Pea hearted
Venables - still building after being injured
Cole - just got back from injury
Rotham - too raw for AFL level and nowhere near ready yet.
Karpany - probably the only real unlucky one
Allen - coming back from injury in the WAFL reserves
McInnes - See Hutchings
Gorter - Is bog average at WAFL level
Snadden - Dropped to the East Perth reserves last week

So can someone make a case for someone from that list any why they are more deserving of someone from last week.

For all those saying pick youth, this who is on our senior list will be playing at EP this week, we really are struggling, and the cupboard is pretty bare.

Living in Vic i don't see a lot of the WAFL, although i enjoyed watching Sth Freo pants the gummies on Monday online..

Of below who deserves a game ?

Lamb
Macca
Venables
Jetta
Cole
Schoey
Hutch
Rotham
Karpany

Before everyone starts bemoaning our depth, the following would be either definite playing or a chance to be included had they not been injured:

Naitanui
Lycett
Cripps
Nelson
Partington
Rioli
Watson
Petrie

Tunbridge and Waterman not so much

So another wasted pick?
maybe/maybe not. He is about a year and a bit into his career. He improved a lot at the end of 2016 so theres a good chance he improves as the year progresses. The fact that he can accumalate the footy as an undersized inside mid at this stage is pretty good. Just needs to be a bit more dangerous with ball in hand i guess.

Add Venables and Cole to that if they were at full fitness.
