It makes perfect sense.
Of course it makes sense. Otherwise, why not call him white? My point is that anyone whose grandmother's grandmother was Aboriginal gets called indigenous, when you could trace much stronger roots back to the First Fleet or the royal family.

read this statement:
"If your aboriginal your aboriginal"
...now think about it...

anyone who has an argument against the above statement is a moron.

Edwards isn't "listed" as being aboriginal or white or anything else. Clubs don't have to provide the race of each player on their official records - so .... W H O C A R E S ? ? ? ? ?
I can't believe we are having this debate.
What difference does it make?
The indigenous players tend to get highlighted a bit more this week for obvious reasons and you could argue that JON's debut was brought forward a few weeks because of the Dreamtime game - most likely because TW thought he might rise to the occasion rather than any sense of tokenism.
Anyway, enough of that irrelevent topic.
On the team, I would think one of Morton or Edwards could have a spell in the twos based on form, which would open the door for Petts or maybe a kid who is doing well at Coburg (Collins?).
Not sure why everyone thinks Patto is a certainty to come back in, he hasn't had any impact this year and Polak was one of our best last week and can pinch-hit in the ruck. In fact, I could pinch-hit in the ruck against Laycock.

first , im quite excited about this match up
a player whom was a legend for the club forced to retire early , now coaching the team who are bitter rivals with his old club ?
i mean the storylines that could be plucked out by channel 10 to run for a good 15 minutes before the game should be a spectakle in itself
in regards with the team obviously those whom are deserving of a game should be chosen , no doubt that the game is celebrating the aboriginal influence on the great game of ours , but to choose aboriginal players over those deserving a game is wrong personally i would love too see JON . and collins run out
but realistically i think that terry must bring back pettifer and pattison
although edwards and hyde have been good in spurts , they arent just cutting it at the moment and MUST bulk up and develop further in the VFL

we need to keep playing Reiwoldt
Hyde deffintly needs to go back to the 2nds
Morton hmmmmmmmm i think he ned to stay in the team. ...Not everyone can play good in one game

I agree, it's irrelevant. I made a throwaway comment that was jumped on, forcing me to explain myself. Having said that, the drop of Aboriginal blood in Edwards will ensure he gets a game. That and the fact he's a bloody ripper little goer who will play in front of many big crowds in his time, so TW will want to give him a taste. Ditto Riewoldt. Otherwise you could argue both of them need a spell. Could see Collins coming in - wouldn't that set this board alight!
For me, it's:
IN: Schulz, Connors
OUT: Hyde, McGuane
I'll get howled down for dropping McGuane but he really ain't much of a player and hopefully not part of our future. Schulz I reckon is and was bewildered as to why he was dropped in the first place.

No, anyone who writes "your" when they mean "you're" is a moron.

But Hyde only played one poor game.
