I never thought I would say this but I honestly think we need to bring Thornton back in next week.

He and Jamo can play against the key forwards and Bower can do what he does best.... third best defender.

I think we should also bring Walker in. He adds versatility and in all honesty, I would give him Robbo's role as the defensive forward.

Betts has been in bad form since the North Melbourne game but due to his x-factor, he survives.

How nice would it be to have Kreuz and Warnock rucking :(

OUT - Robinson, Davies
IN - Walker, Thornton

Thoughts?

I think Davies has been really good. Would persist with him.

Bower needs help, but is Thornton the answer? I honestly don't know.

If Walks comes in, I agree with you he should play as a forward but his current inability to consistently lay a tackle could hurt.

We were desperately lacking a hard body in the midfield tonight. If only one of Hadley and Mclean was fully fit :(

Ratts said Carrazzo sitting out the game was more precautionary than anything..... he was a little tight in the hammy but could've played.

Depends on opponent next week, but one would think that Bower & Hampson would be 2 i would certainly consider for TBird and Jacobs.
Is Eddie Betts skating on thin ice at the moment?

If Carrots does miss then i would consider Hadley ahead of Mclean at the the moment.

Surely Brad Fisher has to come in so Waite is on the wing with Bower on the other wing.I bring back Thornton in defence also.

Too bad this isn't professional wrestling.

In: two mystery men
Out: Carrazzo (inj.), Hampson

Mystery men turn out to be Kane Lucas and Matthew Kreuzer.

We have to do something about our backline, and more specifically, Paul Bower. Whether thats Thornton coming back in, or shuffling the deck chairs with maybe Setanta coming back in, and using him in defence.

Bower is clearly out of form, and the MC certainly has a few decisions on their hands next week.

Hesitant Ins and Outs at this stage, Carrazzo plays if fit.

In: McLean, Thornton
Out: Robinson, Davies.

Setanta would have to have a good day out today.

No need to make any non-forced changes. We were pretty good last night, and if the umpiring was a little less biased, and Freo didn't throw a game to rest 1/2 their team before that game, we would have won comfortably.

Hopefully - no change, but I suspect someone will have to replace Carrazzo. Looks ike we'll be playing Floodney so it'll be a inside mid type i.e. Hadley.

Feeling very good about next week. We're starting to hit some form at the right time of the year.

:)

Would like to drop Bower as well, looks completely lost out there, probably no-one to come in so he stays.

Bower needs some serious time in the gym to gets his strength up.
Problem with Thorton is it will take one or 2 games in the seniors to realise why he's in the seconds. Too slow, unnacountable and no heart or have we all forgotten?

PR exercise again by ratts. If he could have gone on I think he would have. Really hurt us without him and being down 1

FF Eddie Betts Jarrad Waite Jeff Garlett
HF Mitch Robinson Lachlan Henderson Heath Scotland
C Kade Simpson Bryce Gibbs Shaun Grigg
HB Jordan Russell Paul Bower Andrew Walker
FB Dennis Armfield Michael Jamison Bret Thornton
RU Robert Warnock Chris Judd Marc Murphy
IC Sam Jacobs David Ellard Richard Hadley Aaron Joseph

IN Andrew Walker, Bret Thornton, Sam Jacobs, Richard Hadley
OUT Andrew Carrazzo, Chris Yarran, Shaun Hampson, Marcus Davies

I know it wont happen, but, please PLEASE put Gibbs in the centre. Give us our best three midfielders in the middle at the start of the game with big Warnock. If the Swans (if we play them) don't have Mummy playing for them then we'll destroy them in the middle of the ground.

man on man bower is struggling...whether it is because our midfield hasnt been on top the past two weeks and the ball is getting in way to easy or as mentioned, he needs to bulk up. But last night, when running off the half backline, bower looks a lot better...being a third tall he would be so much better. in fact, it is where he always played his best.

thorntan, austin, setanta....all havent played seniors for quite some time.

Bower makes the rest of the backline nervous drop him 4 tbird Walker in for robbo wont happen because he is soft and cant tackle like robbo

No change - boys did well last night, had a finals intensity and we pulled up 6 points short on the Floggers home ground

Wasn't pretty football, but nor is finals football.

Was pretty encouraging last night, like watching Souvlaki King in Brunswick Street making a souvlaki
