Now that Coggs has been officially named he really should play.

If he is on the extended bench & they are waiting to see if he is "ready" on Monday then he should just play for Coburg on the weekend.

I can not believe they would be giving a guy who has been out of the game for almost 3 years a final 2-3 days to get right.

As I say, if they have bothered putting him on an extended bench surely they wouldn't be just rooting everyone around would they... really...?

hey guys sorry to ask you this in ur game thread discussion, but do u think alex rance will be good enough to hold down a spot for the next few weeks? i didnt see your game last week so i cant comment myself
thanks

Played really well last week and I can't see him losing his spot. With TW and the match committee though who knows.

ok cool, i was thinking of bringing him into my supercoach team. are there many players out injured who play of the half back flank like it appears he plays? i just want someone who will hopefully get picked a few weeks in a row

McMahon is trying to gain form in the VFL, Tambling could come in to replace Rance this week depending on his hammy or he could replace someone else it's hard to tell. Also got our 3rd best tall playing in the VFL, Thursfield who is trying to gain form. On paper it doesn't look good for him holding a spot but I'm confident he deserves it and should for atleast another couple rounds.

I would love to see Cogs play but I can't see it happening. With Bling named in the starting 18 I think he'll be right to play. One of Edwards or Nahas will make way. I would like to see Patto play but he probably needs one more week at VFL level.

Why the hell did Tambling get nammed. This guy does not deserve a spot in our team. We have so many younger players who are way more deserving of a spot. :thumbsd:

He was one of the only players who made an effort in round one. If he is fit he deserves to be there.

Can someone tell me what the deal is with AFL live scores player lists? I know we are meant to cut 3 tomorrow by 4pm but it has us with 22 players. Exclusions being Patto, Graham and Edwards. That leaves us with 1 ruckman, I assume they're just guesses?

What game did you watch round 1?

agreed.

how many good games does tambling play?

IS graham going to play or is he going for Patto?

If so, that is our third second rukcman in three weeks.

Lets make a decision on this and stick to it.

I reckon Tambo is in our best 22! He was one of our three decent players in R1.
Watch out for when he is in the centre bounce with Foley, in the 2nd half of last year we were getting heaps of run out of the middle when they were in the middle together.

Off Afl.com:

Emg: Nahas, Coughlan, Pattison

IN: Tambling
OUT: Nahas

*******s. Nahas dominates VFL but just needs some time to adjust to AFL level and he started looking better in the 2nd half last week. Clearly they think Cogs and Patto are not fit enough to play yet so why the hell even name them? That spot on the squad could of been taken by Collins or Thomson. Their biggest mistake of all, leaving Jake King in the team, put down at least 3-4 gimme goals to Doggies from free kicks and turnovers. Edwards also needs a spell in the VFL. Club is full of idiots, how the hell are you meant to have confidence in this rabble if they can't even get the most basic things right?

I'll bet you'll have confidence no matter the changes if we beat WBD on Monday. I'll bet if we win, you won't back down, despite having been proven wrong in that instance. Maybe we named Cogs and Patto cos' they were chances to be fit...

Sheesh I keep underestimating how bad our match committee are. Keep on playing the same shit players ffs. What will it take for them to wake up to themselves? A new coach me thinks.

i think our team selection is OK just last couple of spots could go to any of 6-8 players. I'd say Selectors went way of picking Edwards, Tambling, White and King cos of Bulldogs pace. Whether this is right or wrong we'll know Monday night

extremely dissapointed to see Nahas dropped, i thought he got better and better as the game wore on.. He harrassed and put lots of pressure on geelongs run out of defence, bulldogs probably setup plays out of defence through gilbee as good as anyone we need a lot of fwd pressure.

edwards.... I'm a fan, always have been but even i'll admit hes a very lucky young man, should've been out edwards in tambling

The main thing is that Mcmahon, Johnson and Raines are not in the team. That's a 5+ goal imrpovement in itself
