Gumby could be trialled at CHB? He has decent reach, great aerobic power, smart footy brain and knows when to mark and spoil. Plus, Hurley is a CHF, Carlisles a FF, so the Hurlisle combo is better than the Hurbleton in the way that both are playing natural positions. When Fletcher retires I hope we have a side like:

Pears-Hooker-Hardingham
Dempsey-Gumbleton-Hibberd
Stanton-Watson-Heppell
Crameri-Hurley-Reimers
Jetta-Carlisle-Colyer
Ryder-Hocking-Zaharakis
Myers-Winderlich-Bellchambers-Melksham

I'll bite

B- Fletcher - Pears - Hardingham

HB - Myers - Hooker - Heppell

C - Stanton - Hocking - Zaharakis

HF - Monfries - Gumbleton - Dempsey

F - Crameri - Hurley - Reimers

R - Ryder - Watson - Melksham

I - Howlett - Jetta - Bellchambers

S - Carlise

B Fletcher Pears Hardingham
HB Hibberd Hooker Heppell
C Stanton Watson Melksham
HF Monfries Hurley Zaharakis
F Jetta Ryder Crameri

FOL Bellchambers Hocking Howlett
IC Winderlich Carlisle Dempsey
SUB Colyer

EM Gumbleton McVeigh Lonergan

Hille did not contest in the final against Carlton. I don't see that changing...

Bellchambers is the number 3 ruckman, cant see him starting ahead of hille while hille is still playing... too early to say what the rest of the team will look like, hopefully Winders and dempsey are right for rd1
Hille is ageing and quite clearly on the decline, TBell on the other hand is quite clearly getting better with experience. You actually can't see that this statement may change over time?
FWIW Hille has come out himself and openly said that TBell will push him out of the side one day, which doesn't take a genius really.

Don't know how well Carlisle will be as a sub; would rather Coyler to provide run. Also would put Reimers on the half forward line, as he is a long kick, and I still have hopes on him being a Steve Johnson type player that can push up the ground.

If Gumbleton and Carlisle are in the same side it wll be either ends of the ground.
