If he’s ready?Would be the perfect time to reintroduce Tom Langdon just before the bye! Give him a proper hot out and an extra week to recover.

I don't think that you can deny Cameron has good hands and therefore combined with his size is far more difficult to match up on for defences. Adel game showed his potential.
Clunking some marks against the worst defence in the league isn’t really a convincing argument.I don't think that you can deny Cameron has good hands and therefore combined with his size is far more difficult to match up on for defences. Adel game showed his potential.
I reckon you can coach skills but you can't coach heart. On that premise I think they're just keeping Cal ticking over so he gets valuable experience while he builds a better tank and he works on the power in his kicking. In honesty I reckon we'll see his best in 2-3 years time.He was better than usual, but still offered next to nothing.
I hate to say it because he seems like a good lad, but he's just not AFL standard. Not nearly.
He's one of those blokes that the coaching staff like because of his attitude, which allows him to get games consistently over players with more ability. He just doesn't have the tools.

We need to go in with our strongest possible side against Brisbane. Calls to 'rest' players for this game are ridiculous. We have a 10 day break after this game. At this stage of the season, we are past the "let's play the kids" phase. We are still in this season up to our necks and, if we make the finals, we will be entering them with some of our best players returning to the team.
Brisbane have a 12 day break before playing us -that could work either way for them. They might be 'fresh', but then again, it may take them a while to get back up to speed. Brisbane's form in their last 2 games wasn't great, even though they won both matches. A 1 pt win over North and 2 pts over St Kilda is not overly impressive. Plus our recent results against Brisbane at the Gabba have been terrific.
I'd make only minimal changes this week. Greenwood for Mayne and that's it. We need to throw a hard, experienced team against Brisbane. I'd even keep Cameron in the side. Brisbane's ruck stocks are depleted -we should try and use that to our advantage.
Hi All! Coming in peace.
I know it doesnt relate to Rd 15 however has there been any mention of Steele's expected return?

He got a gimme from a 50m penalty and took one good mark on the 50. He was then basically shut out of the game completely. Still not a convincing argument. You forgot his game against WC defence - he looked imposing in that first qtr.

Playing praccy matches, so you’d think he’d be fine or as fine as he’ll ever be. It’s a pain threshold issue for him.If he’s ready?
This is all we have.
Thought he would have been in the delivery suite today!
Baby’s not due til 12th, so unlikely ... 1st babies often are overdue too. I’d be highly surprised if we see Sidey play at all this year given the 2 week quarantine period required for Qld.

Yep. I knew we had that shit in the bag against Carlton all last week and I’ve got the same feeling now. Will be another easy win for the woodsmen.
I know what we’re debating. Firstly, matching structures is unnecessary. If anything, if we’d had Ruscoe instead of Cameron Carlton would have been too tall and we could have exploited it. Grundy has handled dual ruck combos for several years now, I’m not sure why you suddenly think he needs help. If anything he’s proven over the journey that he tends to perform better if he’s going solo with a forward chop out rather than sharing duties.Let’s understand what we’re debating here. I’m saying Cameron was needed against Carlton because of their talls and Grundy needing a chop out including one of 15 min.
If you think we don’t need to add Cameron or Lynch against a 4 tall - 2 Ruck comb then I disagree - especially as Grundy needs the breaks. He seems to be struggling.
Ruscoe instead of another Ruck only makes sense where this 2 Ruck structure in not being used by opponents.
That said I’m very hopeful that Lynch with his huge tank and athleticism can become the permanent solution because 2 Ruck combos are becoming common, and therefore Grundy alone in such games is problematic.
He will be 25 in three years time. Seems a bit late in his career for a small bloke to blossom as well as a long time to retain a player with mediocre contributions in the side. Nevertheless you make a good point.I reckon you can coach skills but you can't coach heart. Grundys huge last quarter completely puts to bed any theory that he is tired, needs a rest, is playing poorly or is carrying aninjury.
He has been super important for us all year. He’s not quite at the AA form of last year but not far off.
