The match ups (assuming they are not 100% zoning and guarding space) would be:

Barrass to Curnow
Edwards to McKay
Bazzo to Silvagni
Jones to Owies
Duggan to Fisher
Hurn to Durdin

Works pretty well. Only match up I would see Rotham play would be on SOS so a good decision to give Bazzo more games.

I would go for Clark as the emergency as he offers the tougher match up for the Cripps/Hewett/Kennedy big bodies.

I will be interested to see how we deal with Saad and Docherty - we cannot let them loose.

Cripps would match up well on Docherty and should keep him accountable too.

Points out our dearth of middle aged player compared to others. We have 4 of the 6 21 and under players on the field (good, playing a few and they generally look ok), and 8 of the 8 30 and over ones.

TBH i'm a lot more worried that we'll have the worst list in the league come the end of 2024 than even thinking about being a grand final side.

Why do you think 2024 is the drop dead date? I get that Nic Nat, Shuey, Hurn, Redden will be gone, but we'll still have other experienced players. JD/Ryan/Rioli/TB/Kelly/Yeo etc. 2021 and 2022 drafts will also help, as we'll have a bunch of young guys with 1-2 seasons of development.

The big cliff for me would be around 2026 if we haven't replaced guys like Giv/JD/Yeo/Kelly who will be retired. I doubt that happens with our low finishes in 2021/2022.
