The only thing i've heard about him is that he was a JJ type when we drafted him. That how you see him ?

Probably attacks the footy in a similar way. Not a great kick of the footy but better than Jason. Bit of a shark around the goals. Maybe a combination of the Johnson's.

We need players in the side who know how to dispose of the ball correctly, simple.

Im looking at Dyson or Nash to bring that or possibly Dempsey to give us a spark and abit of excitement.

I hate to make 5 changes but I can't see a way around it.

Out -

Campo - injured
Rioli - injured
M.J - Poor form, plus how is his shoulder?
Bolts - Zero form
Solomon - Worse than Bolts

Ins-

Ryder - like having two rucks and Laycock up forward
Dyson - actually has some skills to bring to the side
Nash - give him a chance
Lee and one of the rookies - would be good to see a couple of fresh faces.

Welsh, your lucky.

Def play Dyson - if the boy is finding it again I'd love to have him back. Bring in Dempsey for that extra spark and Lonergan for some toughness. Would like to see Lee have a game. But in saying that 4 feels a bit drastic - maybe just 3 of them. (I'll let you pick Sheeds).

Would keep Paddy in the 2s just to let him continue to get a touch of the leather and get some confidence. And also want to see Laycock used in the ruck more this week. Hille look knackered for a while before he got a rest - probably a lot of nervous energy given his first game as captain.

Dont want to see Kep up forward either - he looked a bit lost to me.

Think I would persist with Solly - Im told he had a stomach bug.

Drop Bolton, Campo out and I presume Rioli may miss - altough I dont want him too. I'd take 10 mins of Rioli magic over a full game of a lot of others.

Great news about Fletch, you just made my day better Longy.

Outs:

Bolton - do we actually need to tag Kouta ? He's still a decent player but i'd rather we put someone on him who will play their own game and expose him going the other way.

Campo - injured.

Rioli - i'd rest him this week, will be better suited to the smaller ground the week after.

Solomon - do i need to bother ?

Ins:

Dyson - we desperately need quality disposal in the midfield - obvious replacement for Campo too.

Nash - we need to find out about this bloke soon enough. Has quality disposal, including very good depth on his kicking, every time i've seen him so he could potentially improve us.

Lee - why not ?

Ryder - to give us flexibility with the big blokes, and apparently he was in the best in the 2's so it would be good to reward that.

Nice changes Darealrath but i'd leave out Ryder and bring in either Dempsey or Lonergan

b: Welsh Fletcher Nash
hb: Nat-Rat Bradley McPhee
c: Stanton McVeigh Dyson
hf: Hird Lucas Lovett
f: MJ Laycock Monfries
R: Hille Watson Heffernan
Int: Ryder JJ Winderlich Rioli

Out: Camporeale (inj) Solomon Bolton
In: Dyson Nash Ryder

Tempted to find a spot for Lee, Dempsey or Lonergan

not too many changes, unsettling 2 or 3 most.

Out: campo, Rioli, Soloman
In: Dyson, Nash, Pev

Soloman needs to run in the twos. Carlscum dont have too many tall forwards (Fev, Whitnall, Waite). I think Fletcher, Macphee and NLM should do the job on the 3 , with Bradley as a backup - hoope not!!

Dyson and Nash will give us some run and skill, whilst Pev maybe needed on a Stevens type.

I didnt think Bolton played too bad.

INS: Dyson, Ryder, Nash
OUTS: Campo, Solly, Rioli

I think with Carlton playing three rucks we will want to try and keep Hille fresh, alternating with Ryder and have Laycock down forward hopefully stretching a weak Carlton backline. I've always liked Dyson just has that classy edge about him that can often see him finish with a goal or 2, and Nash have heard good things on disposal, something we are clearly lacking at the moment.

Solly just needs a break to sort things out in the magoos, could see him develop a bit of confidence and hopefully see him come back to his best, Rioli will be missed but as someone mentioned earlier will be better suited to next weeks game.

Keeping Fevola quiet will be the key I think, can be damaging and really fire up the blues when he gets going. This game gives us a chance to put something back into this season and hopefully see us back on track (and atleast have bragging rights against blues supporters ;))

If we take the latest VFL form into account, Nash won't be getting a game this week. Which is a shame, I'd like to see him get a crack.

One comment on that Longy , being named in the best for Bendigo hasnt really ment that much as most weeks the last two or three blokes have been thrown on the best players list to make up five players.
Nash has been like a number of other blokes , hasnt been terrible but hasnt dominated either.

How about giving Reynolds a go. The guy has been named as an emergency a few times and would be a good replacement for Bolton..

He is a player at the crossroads and needs a chance to prove himself.

Would that make not being named in the best even worse?

Or is simply a lucky dip.

I have heard Pevers has a shin problem that is restricting his running capabilites - why he has struggled this year so far.

Outs:
Campo (inj),
Bolton (can run but he never gets near the footy - trade or delist - he just makes us one man down),
Solly/Welsh/MJ (one has to go, should have happened last week - consitently poor form can not be rewarded - send a message Sheedy as the playing group thinks you are gutless and have thought so for years)

Ins:
Dyson (given his 30 touches),
Ryder/Lee (extra tall),
Pev/Reynolds (reckon with Joel its now or never, however with winderdud in the team I'm not so sure).

Probably a good way of putting it.

Barnsey mentioned it on Fox on Thursday night. He's actually had it since 2001 (from memory), it was the reason he only played one VFL game after he got demoted back onto the rookie list.

Peverill started his career and looked like another star. Did this occur in 2001after his brilliant beginning? Has this been the reason why he hasnt continued that good early form ( I didnt see all his games that year, but the few i did he looked the goods). Or did he have this injury from day 1 in 2001?

I think Pever summed it up with lucky dip. Each week we have had 2 or 3 better players and 7 or 8 who have been reasonable without being above average.
