Out: quiet Saturday afternoon at Brisbane Hotel doing Sudoku puzzles, then travelling to the Gabba for a 3course meal at the Cricketers Club with some Brisbanites who are not totally familiar with the nuances of our most splendid game, then celebrating our Richmond victory with an aperitif and spritzer at Stamford

In: Going to the Hotel Victory at noon, downing a steak sandwich and about 10 schooners before pouring myself into a cab to the Gabba where I'll guzzle red and try to stay respectable prior to commiserating back at Stamford with two nurofen and watching inhouse movie previews all before suffering red wine reflux and bringing up "the days takings".

For those that saw my earlier post I have changed it a bit after seeing Hardwicks comments about who could possibly come in.

Agree with this. But see how Helbig goes, he's only just played development last week.

Astbury seems good at CHB, should be able to take easy marks unlike Post. Griffiths a no brainer. Helbig is a better tagger than Conca and if Moore comes back after 2 VFL games Helbig should too. Although Elton disappears for some quarters at least he shows up for something unlike Riewoldt. White is better than A Maric hands down. Batchelor in so either Griffiths goes up or Astbury goes up.

Interesting rumour on another forum. Apparently Jacko was asked to come off the ground after a goal was kicked, refused, and went back to the centre square. Two mins later, subbed off. Not sure if true (anyone heard this is true), but IF it is, as a member of our leadership, I'd pack him off too Coburg for the year.

Exactly...waiting to see if Dimma does what he says...In his presser today,he said he'd give players the flick that don't stick to the game plan and put their head over the ball...let's see what happens at selection for the Brisbane game...

Had 18 disposals today and looks like he got through well enough. No harm in selecting him and naming him as the sub.

If Browne is done and dusted at season's end, you gotta start asking why and who saw what to persevere and waste a year on a spot on the list. I dont think they will turf him before they give him one last look at senior level. At the end of the day you cant just cut a "world record holder"..

We better find ourselves a ruckman who can cut it asap, because its getting to the point where the fortunes of this club are hinging on the health and form of 1 man, the mullet and that is fraught with alarm bells, seeing as we are running him into the ground. How much more can the big fella cope with?

Tipping it might happen if what I would like to see happen i.e. we send Maric to the paddock to get him over the groin issues. Play Graham 3 weeks then give Browne 3 weeks and the one who performs best keeps his spot on the list.
