king shouldn't get suspended, insufficient force i would suggest. also i thought he did he really good as a defensive forward on yarran, until yarran was moved forward after he didnt have a touch. after that king got a bit lost. considering it was his first game back, you'd think he will be better for the run. oh and i think he should have come back through the vfl but thats just my opinion

Just watched the after match presser again, really felt for Cotch - looked absolutely gutted- poor bastard absolutely bleeds for our team
Dimma looked filthy- like he wanted to punch someones lights out

At the presser Dimma said that we will be going hell for leather over the reaming matches and no one will be rested
He also said there are a few returns and mentioned Griffo, Batch, Astbury and Helbig as being available for selection
He said this puts pressure on the side

I'm looking forward to seeing what transpires at selection

That would never happen. Not here anyway, we are the most forgiving of all supporters and give nothing but full support even in our darkest hours.

Unfortunately, our season is more or less cooked now so there isn't much to play for (I can't see us winning 5 games and results going our way - let alone winning against Brisbane with this curse we seem to have).

I think we should be getting guys with niggles in for surgery (maybe not right now but in a few weeks) - would love to see Ivan make the AA after his year so hopefully he can finish the year strong.

We need to be giving games to guys like Helbig, Astbury, Brown, O'Hanlon and possibly Arnot (could give him a taste of AFL to get him hungry for 2013) and maybe keep others like Dea, Post in the side to see if they can come on and benefit from the extended run of games. Those guys that at least can become depth players or who can possibly become best 22 players.

I'm not really keen on the idea of playing 'guys playing for their futures'. The players in the barrel have had a year (or more) to stake a claim to keep a spot on the list. In my opinion, we shouldn't be basing list decisions on how these players perform in the last token games when there is essentially nothing but their careers to play for. They've had the year to fight their way in and try and hold a spot, if they couldn't do it in the crunch games when they needed to stand up, why should they get another extension if they stand up in a dead rubber? Some of the guys (I won't name names as we know who they are) can count themselves lucky to have had AFL careers as long as they have and played that many games.

Hard decisions lie ahead but I hope the club don't take the easy option.

For this week, would love to see O'Hanlon, Astbury, Helbig and Griff come in (form and fitness permitting). Didn't see the carlton game expect for the last quarter but I have a fair idea of which players I'd like rested and those I'd like to see dropped.

Rich and Black are going to be a problem, Conca shouldn't be tagging players, experiment gone wrong, I think he's just suited to being a clearance player. Head to head, Tuck with Rich if Cotchin is able to get loose, i don't know about Brisbane's injury situation but if Raines is playing i don't think Cotchin will be able to get loose to might have to have Deledio go head to head with Rich as he can be an offensive tagger at times, although i'd like him to be free most of the time. IF Cotchin is not tagged ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE!! BRISBANE WILL BE KOED!! There needs to be an exclusive award called the Champion Award just for Cotchin.
Griffo or Elton to come in for McGuane and play that forward role also Batchelor to come in for Moore, both omitted, the game is beyond them now. I hope Batchelor has gained some sort of confidence and can get back to form. If Morris is out... I dunno, saying something about our depth... maybe Verrier upgraded? If he's not injured.
If Jackson is injured or omitted, no news from the club yet but if he is out then we should bring in O'Hanlon or Helbig.

The season is shot and over in regards to finals- lets be honest not many expected it this year & has been a pretty decent year with the high's & lows but all up about where we expected to be around 10-13 , But the best part of the years is that our boys are well and truly around the mark with no blow out games and pushing top teams(and beating) some.

O'Hanlon,Elton,Helbig,Astbury,Post - Must be played every possible chance(yes post as well-Too many are on this kids back, give him another year)

Conca,Ellis,Batchelor,Dea,Mullet - Who ever is carrying injuries or fatigue need to be spelled and give a decent run into next year ( 2013 is our year to play finals


Graham,McGuane,Jackson.Webberly,Browne,Moore,white,Maric(mini) - all are either on the chopping block or trade bait if takers and should be given a showing to either impress another team or fight for their last breath.

Im all for using the rest of the season for developing players and the team but i wouldnt sabotage our chances of winning by bringing in browne,wobberley,astbury unless absolutely warranted.

Ivan Maric needs to stay in for team development imo.
