20 goal beating with our best team on the park last year.

Just beat them with over half of our best team missing.

But I thought we hadn't improved?

BAHAHAHAHA. So good! Just held on at the end!

Lynch can't take a contested grab to save himself, but that was his best game for us. Really worked hard across the ground and for once, was accurate. 4 goals straight I think he got! If we can turn our key forwards kicking those sorts of numbers, it will really help us get some more winning scores.

Thank god for that, I thought toy almost duffed it for us but the boys just hung on. Great game.

Bloody fantastic. This is easilly the greatest game they have ever played. Everyone gave a full effort for the whole game. Carlton have been beaten by 50% Gold Coast NEAFL team. Some were playing for their careers and hopefully getting a win will make it all worth while.

I think it is the first time we've had the all Queensland double win. Along with a Collingwood loss, this is the best weekend of footy I've seen for a while.

I'm happy to take back what I said about Caddy. Well, sorta. He must have looked at his phone at 3Q time and read my comment, because he exploded in the fourth quarter.

Seems we've got a Dustin Martin type role in mind for him. Very similar style of player and position. Barely saw him in the first half, and when he did he seemed to misplace himself. But yeah, came alive in the fourth to really seal it for us.

BTW in the line to catch the bus a Carlton supporter ( clearly a sore loser) was loud mouthing about how weak we are that we don't know the song and how much better the MCG is. I set him straight and gave him what for ( with vigour) the Suns supporters around me started to clap and he disappeared into the bus with his tail between his legs.

The point of the story is the amount of support for our team and our willingness to stand up to the ugly bully. A bit like the boys did tonight

My most hated AFL club the Blues are. I thought we were no chance like alot of other people but jeez that was our best performance ever.

... and people thought GWS were ahead of us hahahaha!

All of our wins have been good for different reasons, but I feel like this was a legitimate statement win. With our injuries and Carlton's quality and need to win for finals, I feel like we will be accepted as a genuine side that everyone has to take seriously now. Tonight was amazing, but even out last couple of months we've been really competitive. It would have been so easy for the boys to put the cue in the rack for the year and justify it to themselves with the injuries. But credit to them they've been nothing short of exceptional recently (bar the dees game).

Btw, didn't miss Brennan one iota tonight haha

The thing that I could not believe is how well we spread! Nearly every game this season we have had no-one to kick the ball too because we could not spread, tonight the boys had 3 or 4 options for nearly the whole game, awesome.

Dixon was awesome, another very strong game for him tonight. I also thought his partner in crime Hickey had his breakout game, I have not looked at the stats yet but he was marking just about everything that came his way and showed desperation in everything he did.

Like May last week, Lynch stood up and did what he has been unable to do yet and that is take marks and kick goals, good on him!

Bennell and Ablett were first class as usual and I thought Brown had another good game as usual, his toughness is an essential ingredient to our team. I know he gets bagged here but it is not justified.

I am in shock, I thought we would have a game like this but not with the cattle we had on the field tonight and against a seemingly white hot Carlton.

It seems like the amount of games some of these boys have had is starting to take effect. What can we expect next year if we continue to play and improve like we have this last quarter of the season?

On a side note, nice touch getting the free blanket for attending every home game this year, awesome!!!

I don't know what Malcolm Blight has brought to the table, but those of us like Iva who were pushing for the Bluey mentor role are feeling just the tiniest bit vindicated

Week after despondent week turning up and seeing oppositions turn up "resting" their stars and riding the Scooby Doo Coaster at Dreamworld
Kicking goals out of their arses because we were fodder and there wasn't any pressure
Pure and simple last night, we put the early pressure on and Carlton folded
I'm not a Carlton hater and I admire Juddy so I do feel a bit bad for them, but God Almighty that was special.

What a win , went to the game with a couple of Blues fans talking it up before the game made the win so much sweeter , and to wake up to find the big Dicko has re-signed for another 3 years has made it a great 12 hours.

Carn Sunnies 2013 is starting to look very good.
