I haven't seen a decent game from Lecras since he started playing more time in the middle. His best footy was always in the forward line either on a lead or as a crumber.

Totally agree with you there, LeCras can play tall too on opponents larger than him. I think the modern game style has meant that he's had to push further up the ground in the middle where he's been less effective. LeCras isn't a midfielder, needs to be a full time forward (which is impossible with today's game)

Problem is in the middle. Gaff, Shuey, Masten, Priddis got plenty of the ball but did nothing with it. Redden, Jetta, Duggan, Yeo didn't get enough of the ball. We can't continue to carry midfielders who struggle to get 15 touches a game and don't hit the scoreboard.

What we need is a gameplan that has a dimension other than kicking the ball long to a contest.

We're 3-2 which isn't amazing but on a semi positive note we are where we deserve to be. I'd rather be 4-1 or 5-0 but we're not desperately unlucky like Adelaide or sitting in a spot we haven't earned like Hawthorn.

Difficult for the umpires to will you over the line when you're down by 6 or 7 goals and repeatedly turning the ball over, though.

That game by duggan was impressive. had heart and after a quiet first half he gave it a red hot go and contrubuted.
We should move jetta forward and hurn into a wing and cole rotate through defence and wing.

Except the poor effort in the 3rd when we had slight momentum. We should of kicked a goal but it went to the other end and they scored. Never got back into it after that.

Yeah LeCras has been shite but I'd like to see him play a couple games as a forward pocket before we do anything drastic. I reckon he's still a smart enough player to jag 2 or 3 a game. No idea why we 're so desperate to turn a gun forward into a mediocre mid.

Why not add another into the mix, team is full of them

I don't think Redden is fully fit. Had less than 20 touches 3 times in 17 games last year. Has done it 4 times in 5 this year.

FMac and Lecca yes, but EMac is a big NO for me. He should get to stay. Coming back from a knee recon he will have scratchy games, but needs to be played.

Lecca has been woeful. Poor decisions and kicking since the start of the season. He needs a WAFL stint as a message to him to life his game and also a message to others that if you don't perform your rep won't save you.

Wouldn't mind Nelson for MacKenzie if we decide to go with a smaller backline against Collingwood in the absence of Cloke. Unlikely Emac gets dropped though. Maybe his toe is "managed".

This. Duggan is costing the team now. I think he needs to be dropped for a game or two and then brought back in. Lecras has been poor for the start of the season though. Redden and Jetta need to have more impact.

spot on.
we lack skill/ability which Duggan has and he must be developed.

Droppable after today would include kennedy, darling, cripps and lecras our mids battled and our backs kept us in the game. We had now forward pressure and their defended kicked 4 (we had 7 as a team) plus a defender was BOG. Thus the mids were under huge pressure and over time it showed. The forwards failed badly.

I think that's a fair call, but I couldn't be bothered saying it and getting quoted notifications and having my head bit off by a few for having that opinion haha. But I stand by the reason I gave. The midfield still rely too much on him. They need to take responsibility.

Lecras and Cripps cannot survive if they aren't either kicking goals or getting the possies.

Disappointed with lecras as midfielder and bottom line is our problem is midfield depth each week. We get outmuscled and overrun and these guys need to step up and do more.

He's well known to be a massive crab, but I wouldn't mind a week of McGinnity to send a message. At least he'll attack a contest, and might instill some fight amongst the other fringe guys. Has been shredding WAFL and kicking goals.
