Mcveigh to replace slattery in the back pocket - we need someone to shutdown didak
Davey in to replace Williams - both would currently offer similar output on the attack however Davey isnt lazy and will provide greater forward pressure
Monfries in for Colyer- Colyer has been good however his kicking efficiency is terrible, we cant afford to keep players in the team who cant kick, we have way too many
Stanton in for Lonergan- Ive always rated Lonergan, when he gets the ball something happens however stanton will get 30 odd touches whereas Lonergan finds it difficult to get over 12

This is assuming Reimers comes up, if he doesnt I would include prismall in the side for Reimers of course depending on how he performs at Bendgo. The others i would include regardless

Stanton, Monfries and McVeigh hopefully back from injury/illness is a no brainer.

Prismall back as we are crying out for genuine mids and I'd expect him to bounce back.

Davey I'd like to see back to replace the pace of Colyer.

Lonergan I like but he didn't do much last week and with Monfries back I don't see him having much of a role.

Dempsey has been really disappointing this season. This was the hardest of the outs because of how good he can be but his decision making and execution has been terrible and a message needs to be sent.

Colyer has looked very promising but could do with a run in the VFL to work on his kicking. Melksham looks the more composed of the rookies at this stage (which is no criticism of Colyer at all).

Welsh just isn't doing much and I'd rather give that tagging job to Hocking because I think he works well with Watson when given the chance.

Overall I like these changes because it gives us a midfield rotation with Watson, Stanton, Hocking, Prismall, Houli, Zaharakis, Winderlich and Melksham. Eight genuine mids. I agree with who said during the week that we've had too many flankers playing too much time in there. Davey, LM, McVeigh and even Monfries can of course support them as needed but I want to see guys played in their best positions.

For a bit of x factor I'd start L-Murray forward.

Dempsey can't provide a spark at the moment, he's having trouble getting out of cruise control. I would only try him on the wing or forward flank, if his intensity doesnt improve he could be lookin for a run with Bendigo.

Houli out for Stanton - We missed Stantons run last week. Houli needs to go back to Bendigo and learn how to handball.
Lonergan out for Howlett - Howlett looked alright in his first game. Get's another try.
Welsh out for McVeigh - Welsh is a pony that needs some more tricks.
Winderlich out for Davey - The drop to VFL worked for Davey, I think Winderlich is due for one also.

I think it's important for Melksham and Colyer to both play 3 in a row. Will be great for them to play in from of another big crowd.

It was so patently obvious on Fridya how little spark we had in the middle, I was so glad to see Houli go in there.

Wanted Reimers on the abll as well. Guys who will go and get it and take the game on.

Maybe Dempsey pinch hitting in the middle is needed. It worked with NLM last year.

The axe is sure to swing at the selection table and the five inclusions will really strengthen the side. Welshy won't get dropped need him go with Did's or Neon. Prismall looks to have to do a lot more in the VFL to get selected again.
