Good on the kid to be able to turn it around and prove a few of the doubters wrong. Was he a whipping boy over there in the WA media ? Seems to be playing with a chip on his shoulder.
I don't think the media so much, but definitely a whipping boy on BF WCE last year due to expectations.
He was being played all over the place, mainly midfield & lost his confidence.
A definite role has suited him this year so far. Don't think it's a chip on his shoulder, more a strut because he's playing well.
Doing what we all thought he was capable of after 2015 season IMHO.

I wouldn't say whipping boy. He was very good in 2015, then went missing in 2016. Some blame was attributed to the way Simpson tried to use him and there was some suggestion the Yeo got ahead of himself and took his eye off the job a bit.

Big risk playing Redpath as all he did last week was sit in the goal square!
That is all he needs to do, buddy. Bring the ball to ground. Until they get some players back like Roughead, Dickson, Cloke, Crameri, their forward line is reliant on getting goals from players that have to bust their arse to get in the right position and get a sniff of an opportunity. As a dogs fan, I reckon the Eagles will win this game, they will get goals easier than the dogs. September is the real test though, these two teams could easily meet.

All good thanks Vish...
In all honesty it could have gone either way but i can see why redden made the cut. Dogs smashed us in contested footy last year to beat them this week we need to improve our contested ball collectively. Reddens contested work is his bread and butter and edges hutchings out and his defensive work in both tackles and even pressure acts (last couple of weeks) good this year. I think hutch might have survived the cut if it was a lesser opponent and there was less emphasis on winning contested possessions.

Whenever the "flat track bully", "can't win away" stuff came up he was one of the names mentioned as a player who dropped off away from subi.

Yep, fair call. I'm not getting into an argument knowing your memory of things football. Don't remember him getting smashed by WA media too bad, mostly mentioned collectively, (sometimes singularly and reasonably), but might be wrong. Do remember the absolutely smashing he got on this board though, which far exceeded that by the media.

Yeah wasn't disagreeing with you, just remember him and LeCras being the usual individual targets when those stories came up.

Haha, and that username as well.

How's "boydee" gone this year, $6m for 1 good game, guess it got you signed up - definitely worth it!
One good game and what a good game it was. Premiership hero. He may as well spend his time now dropping turds in the goal square. To be fair buddy, none of your boys have starred in a premiership winning side. I would have thought you need to have the runs on the board before you criticise the efforts of others.

Are we all happy chappies then? I certainly am. Glad McInnes is in ... Deserves to be, and is the best option for the role. Looking forward to tomorrow night now. Gotta do em over this time.

Happy with the changes, Hutchings wasn't bad, I like that he comes in and out without fuss, but would like him to be slightly more impactful, Redden needs to turn it up a tiny notch. Hope Duggan gets some good minutes and runs to create some plays.

Hoping JK can unleash here with some Shuey bullets. Mcinnes just has to try not get in the way, provide some release marks on the wing or do enough to get it out of bounds and not rebounded gainst too quickly.
