What do we do, Dreamtime game could be a chance for JON allthough he may be injured.

Id say should try and exploit essendons backline

Perhaps Jackson and Knobel are inline for the callup? Are Gaspar and Schulz fit or is that the week after i read somwhere round 6 for both of them

Rodan has to go, Staff could be out suspended, Foley didnt do too much , id rather see him in the side but if players where to be brought in him, krakouer and rodan are likely to go. They won't drop Krak for this game.

Out: Rodan, Johnson
In: Gaspar and Brown if fit, if not Knobel and Jackson

NOO! We can't bring in Gaspar, id rather Ray Hall playing on their best forward than Gaspar.

Id leave the side pretty much the way it is, in terms of ommisions, Rodan, not a midfielder, if hes to do anything it would be in the FP.

Browny, give him as much time as he needs, looking at that leg, it will be a while.

Suprised Jacko got dropped, maybe bring him in for Rodan.

Rodan was poor. There was a comical situation in the second quarter I think when Tambling broke clear, over shot his pass to an open Krak, who ran too close to Rodan and kicked it into his back, then Johnson had it clear inside 50, wouldn't shoot for goal and gave it straight back to Carlton. Just about the worst passage of footy you will ever see.

Krak was poor as well, largely anonymous apart from his two goals, gave absolutely nothing. But I suppose there is little point discussing the possibility of him being dropped as it is a nonstarter next week.

Tambling is struggling to be of any importance. Just looks as though he is trying too hard to break the shackles. On form he would go back I think but we'll persevere.

rodan and stafford out
POLO and knobel in

Cleve will get kept to get more experience, looks like hes got a lot of talent and very athletic

Krakouer could be dropped, but probably not for this game
If polo plays well at coburg, will be a definite starter

I want Krakouer to be dropped, but he did kick 2 goals, so he wont be. :(

Even if he didn't get a touch he wouldn't be dropped for 'dreamtime at the G'. If he mopes around again next week I'll be expecting him to be dropped.

We were very limited in defence last night - that Carlton were able to get so close is evidence of this. I would like to bring Jacko back in as another defensive tall option - he is really the only one that is available.

Rodan only had 46mins game time, though didn't do a lot there.

While Krak didn't do a lot, when he went forward in the 2nd quarter, the whole forward line started to work a lot better.

Stafford was abysmal. Would much rather have Richo, Hughes and the resting Snake/Knobel up forward.

Burgers play tomorrow at Coburg.

Right now I don't think many changes are in order. If Stafford gets rubbed out, I'd expect Knobel to be brought in (pending a reasonable performance tomorrow). Otherwise, Rodan needs an extended run in the 2s, not just one week out and straight back in. Polo and Jackson would be the leading candidates.

I'd love to see more of Foley on the ball, with he and Raines, Tuck and Coughlan we have some really hard at the ball players finally. He also did some good work shutting down Stevens at times. Hughes should stay, did some reasonable things and should be a bit more settled after getting that first game out of the way. Helps to create some matchup problems, if we'd used it a bit better through the game we could have really exploited having Walker and Lappin matching up on him.
