Great performance by many of those upgraded from reserves, but hopefully few back from injury next week.
In: Rockliff, Cutler, Andrews
Out: Hanley, Mayes, Merrett

Hanley was just a passenger for me for too much of the game, just doesn't look 100%. If Rockliff isn't ready then Hanley stays in once again.

Mayes just doesn't influence or create any spark from the backline and with Cutler back will bring some much needed attack back there.

Andrews to come in for Merrett. For me, might be his age but Merrett just continues to make stupid decisions and can't keep up with many KPF of the game. Paine and McStay to take over.

Need to get games into our younger players once again. Season is shot to pieces, let's build for the future again. Same old, same old.

Out: Mayes, Robertson, Schache, Merret, Evans
In: Rockliff, Bewick, Gardiner, Green, Paparone

Gardiner replaces Merrett. Paparone plays Mcstays role. Mcstay goes forward. Schache needs to find some confidence in the twos

Merret was shithouse today. Ive been a supporter of his but he is shot. Punched when he should of spoiled and spoiled when he should of punched. No one to cover him though.

Cant see walker getting a gig either. Unless schache comes out.

Cian Hanley (groin): Indefinitely
Jaden McGrath (foot): Indefinitely
Sam Skinner (knee): 3 weeks
Michael Close (wrist and foot): 3 weeks
Hugh Beasley (knee): 3 weeks
Tom Cutler (shoulder): 2-3 weeks
Tom Rockliff (hamstring): 1-2 weeks
Harris Andrews (foot): 3
Dan McStay (groin) - Test
Dayne Beams (knee) - TBC

That's the injury list, so I don't think we're going to see Cutler or Andrews back, and Rockliff would be very unlikely.

Wow. I have know idea what we can do now except call back the players we dropped in the first place. That really says something about our depth.

How did Paparone, Green and Walker go in ressies?

Papa and Green were our best in the ressies. Walker was horrible

Paparone - 27 disposals, 9 marks, 1 tackle
Green - 24 disposals, 5 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal (playing through the midfield)
Walker - 8 disposals, 4 marks, 1 goal (thought he was presenting well while I was watching, but I only watched the first half)

(Hipwood - 8 disposals, 1 mark, 1 goal)

Outs- Merrett, Schache, Mayes, Taylor
In- Walker, Rocky, Bewick and Paparone

I wouldn't be dropping Robbo and I wouldn't mind evans having another crack

Ok then seeing those stats going to say changes should be:
In: Green, Paparone
Out: Mayes, Merrett

merrett should be out but he wont be because experience will keep him in there which is a pity.

i think it's time to give mayes a spell in the reserves as well.

nick robbo didn't play too well but i think he deserves at least a 2 or 3 week crack at it. 1 game in 1 game out i'm not a big fan of.

the schache attack looks like he needs another rest.

rohan bewick is the only in i can see at this early stage when you look at the above injury list.

Watching the first half, I don't think Green or Paparone did enough to earn a recall unless they drastically improved in the second half.

I wouldn't look too much into the stats. Tomlinson had 52 disposals for GWS and Steele had 43.

Merrett's bad games are becoming too frequent, he would have to be questionable once Andrews is ready.

Schache probably due a rest. Didn't offer much today. Evans doesn't look up to AFL standard to me.

Out: Evans, Schache
In: Paps, Green

Green at least knows where the goals are and Bewick has been good this season. Apart from that there's not a lot to choose from - I feel like most who came in were serviceable. Merrett was absolutely awful today but I think we'll keep him in, he'll surely improve on that effort.

Few extra sessions of goalkicking practice more than anything.

I love Robbo and I think he has potential to be a very handy player for us, but at the moment he's just not AFL standard. Lacks awareness and turns it over far too often. Just seems to lack composure at AFL level. He needs to work on that in the reserves before being a regular in the seniors in my opinion

Probably a long shot but what are the chances of Hipwood and Schache swapping for a week or two? Schache looked a bit lost today and now that Mathieson has debuted Hipwood is next on my list to see!
On a side note - I assume at home against the hawks we'll look to go tall again but I am not sure I'm sold on the dual ruck combo + 2 key forwards + Lester playing 4th tall.... Is the consensus that it didn't work?

Reckon Schache's confidence is shot already. Feel sorry for him.
Might need some time in the reserves to get some goals under his belt.
