ant555 said:Ryder in ?? hasnt played for two weeks. Has had some hammy troubles. I know long term Ryder is the answer in the ruck but right now it is time to play Carts while he is showing some form.
Now i have said this Ryder is sure to play![]()
Daytripper said:He needs to do more than just play one good game. I'd rather he string a few together.
Doesn't send a good message to the likes of Lee, Nash, Jolley etc who have been battling hard at Bendigo all season.
Besides I think Ryder is going to be an awesome player for us one day. The kid's got something special.
CaptainDavey said:You guys might sleep better knowing that the Demons are hopeless at the Dome. I mean look what happened against Carlton in round 1, we didn't start winning till we played on cricket grounds (SCG & MCG). Never know, might show the same attitude although I certainly hope not. If you're gonna beat us, it's pretty obvious you're gonna need to tire us out considering the 6 day break, running and experience is the key I spose. Good luck to you guys anyways, nothing like renewing an old rivalry
Daytripper said:We'll know whether Fletch is playing or not if Lee is on the emergencies.
Longy413 said:Lee was an emergency last week and played another good VFL game. You'd imagine he'd be in the 25 regardless.
ant555 said:Seen the Bendigo games this year have you ? His form has been getting better every week , i know i have seen him play.It is not a call based on one game, his form over the last 4 weeks has been pretty good.
Ryder is going to be a star but at this stage it makes more sense to give Cartledge a run and it doesnt send a bad message. Carts plays in a specialized position. What sort of message does it send when you pick an 18 year who didnt do a lot in his last couple of senior games and hasnt played in the reserves in the last two weeks either over someone who has had good form for 4 weeks in the seconds?
In no way am i suggesting Cartledge is better than Ryder by the way.

Admittedly my knowledge of the recent Bendigo games basically comes from the web except for the games shown on TV.
